Shosh Menikes, 53, group
counselor
Shosh is a mother of three.
She raises her children in Tel Aviv.
“Most of the parties today
come down in the center and ask for peace, so I will vote for the people
rather than the platform. We should be most worried that the right American
president is elected. The rest is meaningless.”
Shosh is not worried about
the rise of Hamas, the militant terrorist organization now elected to
head the Palestinian Authority.
“I was terrified when [Prime
Minister Menachem] Begin and later on Sharon were elected. Both times
I thought it was the end of the peace process, but they brought peace.
Maybe Hamas will surprise us. Maybe after they seize power, they will
consider a different way. This is my hope. I’m an optimistic person.”
