Barbara Bowles Biesecker is director of the Genetic Counseling Training Program at the National Human Genome Research Institute. She is also an adjunct assistant professor in Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Professor Biesecker, who is an editorial board member of both Clinical Genetics and the Journal of Genetic Counseling, has authored dozens of papers and articles on genetic counseling relating to cancer, cystic fibrosis, achondroplasia, and other conditions.
