Meredith Vieira, co-host of ABC's The View, has been a network news correspondent for more than twenty years and has won six Emmy Awards. She joined ABC News in 1993 as chief correspondent for Turning Point following a ten-year tenure at CBS News, where she was a co-editor and correspondent for 60 Minutes. Previously at CBS she was a principal correspondent for West 57^th. Vieira also frequently anchored CBS Morning News and contributed reports to the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather. She has also hosted a variety of network specials and served as host of Lifetime Television's critically acclaimed series, Intimate Portrait.
