William Haseltine is chairman and CEO of Human Genome Sciences, a
company he founded in 1992 to develop new means to prevent and cure disease
based on an understanding of human genes. Dr. Haseltine, who holds a Ph.D. in
biophysics from Harvard University, was a professor at Harvard Medical School
and Harvard School of Public Health from 1976 to 1993. He has received numerous
awards and honors for his achievements in both cancer and AIDS research and is
the author of more than 250 published scientific manuscripts. He is currently
Editor-in-Chief of the online journal E-Biomed: The Journal of Regenerative Medicine and former Editor-in-Chief of the
Journal of AIDS/HIV. |
