Mark A. Rothstein is director of the Institute for Bioethics,
Health Policy and Law at the University of Louisville and has appointments in
the University's School of Medicine and Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He is
an authority on the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetics,
privacy, health policy, and employment law and is the author of sixteen books,
including Genetics: Ethics, Law and Policy, which was published in 2002. Professor Rothstein has served as an
advisor to the NIH, CDC, the U.S. Congress, and numerous other public and
professional entities. He is currently chair of the Privacy and Confidentiality
Subcommittee on the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics, which advises
the Secretary of Health and Human Services. |
