Arthur Caplan has been the director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania for the past seven years. He writes a regular column on bioethics for MSNBC and is the author of several books on ethics and health care. His latest books are "Ethics and Organ Transplants," and "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" Among his many professional activities, he serves as Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Blood Safety and Availability at the Department of Health and Human Services. |
