Talking Tech Trends With Harper Reed, Obama Campaign's Former CTO

By: Hari Sreenivasan

Harper Reed's unorthodox vibe has been well-documented. His role in orchestrating the digital strategy for the re-election of President Obama as the campaign's Chief Technology Officer cemented his place in political history. So when he popped into the NewsHour studios this afternoon, we had a wide-ranging conversation about the other things that interest him. What music is he listening to right now? What online sites and services intrigue him? Some questions were sent in over the transom by viewers after we sent out a call about this interview.

Reed also joined NewsHour regulars Howard Kurtz and Lauren Ashburn for our twice-monthly Daily Download segment to chat about his work on the campaign. You can watch that segment online and on our broadcast later this week.
