Animal Odd Couples
Video: Kate and Pip

After being abandoned by her mother, a baby fawn, Pippin, was adopted by a Great Dane, Kate, and they have been best friends ever since. Kate’s owner Isobel Springett describes the uniqueness of their relationship: “When they greet each other, I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s not a deer greeting a deer. It’s not a dog greeting a dog. It’s definitely something that they have between the two of them.” Watch a scene from “Animal Odd Couples” which premieres Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 8/7c (check local listings).

That was a waist of my time for 20 minutes all I saw was the PLAY and a swirl. Hope the tv show turns about better than that.

    Absolutely extraordinary, and beautiful!

None of the trailers load. Tested the full episodes of past shows, no problem.

    Hi Doug T and Susan,
I’m sorry that you are having trouble loading the video. We’re looking into this. In the meantime, make sure that you have the most updated version of Flash installed. That could potentially be the problem.

I couldn’t see the video, because I have an iPhone which still doesn’t support Flash. But I will definitely watch the program tonight, when it premieres.

So where is Kate and Pip, supposedly on tonight?

Watching on TV right now….fabulous episode….and definitely NOT a “waist” of time!

Oh, I agree, fabulous and life affirming. I have watched on my computer twice. Proof that animals are emotionally grounded beings, as much as human animals.

Read the book. Would like to see the video, unfortunately nothing but a black screen and no sound. Yes, my computer has the most updated Flash. Video not available in Canada, only in states. What a bummer despite book nominated for Blue Spruce 2013.
