Australia Team Purpose: The three of us, Bruce, Kay and Brynn, took a five-week roadtrip around Australia on a mission to define our own roads in life. Over the course of 4,000km from Stradbroke Island to Uluru, we interviewed individuals who had followed their dreams and had made a commitment to live their lives with integrity. We filmed our experiences on the road and the conversations we had with these people for an independent documentary series to air on SBS in Australia and on public television in the United States.

We embarked on this roadtrip because we were all at defining points in our lives: seeking a change in direction; making major decisions that would affect our futures; and trying to find out how we make careers out of our passions. Our reluctance was that taking the safe and practical approach to life would leave us empty, lacking the fire inside us which burns, eager for knowledge, life experience and personal growth. We were and still are, anxious to see what our futures hold— and at the same time hesitant to take that next step, in fear of waking up in 40 years’ time wondering where it all went.

The purpose of these conversations was to connect with people who had defined their own roads-- individuals who had pursued their passions against all odds, and woke up excited to get out of bed every morning.
