Miami Dream Team Purpose:

This summer the three of us will embark on a five-week expedition across America to find the leaders and innovators we most admire, how they defined their own road in life, and blossomed into the individuals they are. Beginning in Miami, we will travel to all corners of the country searching for the people who are not afraid to speak their mind and take a chance at doing what they love. We will be filming these conversations along the way for an independent documentary series that will be aired on public television so that the insights we discover can be shared with our entire generation.

As college students, we are at a crucial junction in our lives. Parents, teachers, counselors and other figures are all pointing us in different directions: med school, law school, grad school, and engineering degrees come to mind. The careers that are lucrative and seemingly respected are often the most recommended-- but what about the things we love and are passionate about? It is the premise of this roadtrip, in which we put aside all the notions of playing it safe, and listen to people who followed their dreams.
