Ingredients

  • 4–7 oz smoked Alaskan salmon, flake
  • ½ cup sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp dried dill, or 3 tbsp fresh dill
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • A dash of Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Crackers, sliced bread, or vegetables, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream (or mayonnaise) until smooth.
  2. Gently flake the smoked salmon with a fork. For a chunkier spread, leave some larger pieces, or use a food processor for a smoother consistency.
  3. Add the salmon, green onions, lemon juice, dill to the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Add a dash of Tabasco and season with salt and pepper to your preference.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the flavors to meld and the spread to firm up.
  6. Serve chilled with crackers, crostini, or vegetable sticks.
