Create Your Own Blob

Invite your friends to participate in this Oscar's lab activity where they can create their own bouncy balls of slime using five simple ingredients.
In his lab, Oscar enjoys doing complicated technical work that only he knows how to do. While he was working on a project, a blob escaped from his lab, sending agents on a competitive chase around headquarters to find it.
Make your own blob using borax and glue so that your child can get a sense of what the blob in Odd Squad might be like. Will your blob also escape?
Materials to Create the Blob
How to Create the Blob
Pour the glue into a bowl and add ½ cup room temperature water.
Add the food coloring and mix your goo well.
In a small cup stir ½ teaspoon of Borax into ¼ cup of warm water until the Borax is completely dissolved.
Add the Borax mixture to the bowl with the food coloring and stir. Continue to stir until the gooey mixture becomes more solid and begins to form around the spoon. Once it is thoroughly mixed, your blob should not stick to your hands. If it's still sticky, add a small amount of water and keep mixing.
Now your guests can stretch, bounce and capture the globs you created!
To keep your blob from drying out, store it in a sealed container such as plastic zip bag or the petri dishes.
