DIY Bunny Tail Pom Poms

Tissue paper pom poms are an easy and inexpensive decoration idea for any party. They come together in minutes and look like fluffy little bunny tails. You can use them to fit any color theme by changing the color of the napkins you use. String several together to create a garland to hang anywhere you need a little extra pizzazz.
If you have square napkins in your kitchen and a pair of scissors, you have all you need to create these tissue paper pom pom bunny tails! They’re easily customizable from color to size, and they take just a few minutes to make. You can even include your little one in the fun! These look great strung together as a garland adoring the snack table for an “Elinor Wonders Why” birthday party or any special occasion!

Directions
To make one pom pom, start with two square napkins. Cut along each fold (two folds/two cuts per napkin) so you end up with 8 small squares.

Stack the 8 small squares on top of each other and fold in half (top down to bottom) and cut a small “fringe” every ½” from one end to the other. The fringe should be cut no more than 1” in length.

Unfold the napkins and straighten out the fringe. Starting on one of the sides that aren’t completely fringe, fold the napkins into an accordion fold.

Secure the accordion fold by wrapping yarn or thread around the center and tying in a knot. If creating a garland, leave a long tail of thread to attach more pom poms.

Start separating the fringe one layer at a time to fluff up and form the pom pom. Do one side at a time.

Hang the pom poms around your party setup, or string them together in a long garland.
