Materials

Directions

1

Decorate! If you have construction paper, wrap it around the roll. Use glue or tape to adhere it in place to make your microphone handle. Use crayons, markers, or stickers to personalize the handle.

2

Make the microphone top. Scrunch a piece of aluminum foil into a ball to make it round like the top of a microphone. You can also wrap foil around a small round craft ball. If you’d like, you can keep any extra foil under the ball to create a long tube that you can place inside the craft roll for added stability.

3

Attach the top. Put glue or tape on one end of the craft roll and place the foil ball on top.

4

Sing and have fun! Your microphone is ready. It’s time to sing! Have fun singing at home together. And if your child is planning on singing for a crowd, you can encourage them to be confident on stage with these tips for preparing for a performance and overcoming stage fright.
