Easy Pinkalicious Costume Ideas

While You Play
Let your child's imagination run wild as you help them transform into one (or more!) of their favorite characters from Pinkalicious & Peterrific! Invite your child to find clothing they already have that match the colors their favorite character wears in the show. Then help your child find accessories the character uses in the show either by gathering similar items you already have or making them out of recyclable materials. Snap a photo and share your costume creation with family and friends!
Materials
Pinkalicious Costume Idea

- Find a pink dress or create the look of one with a pink shirt and a pink skirt. Put your child's hair into pigtails. Help your child make daisy buttons with paper and glue and stick them to the front of the dress using tape.
- Design a pinkatastic crown with cardboard and gems.
- Finish the costume by making a pinkamazing wand with cardboard and ribbon.
- Bonus: Suggest the your child bring along an invisible unicorn to pink-or-treat! Or make a galloping unicorn to bring along.

Jasmine Costume Idea

- Find a yellow dress or create the look of one with a yellow shirt and a yellow skirt. Make a collar and belt out of paper to add to the costume.
- Create a recorder. Fold the top of a paper towel roll in on itself and tape it shut. Paint black dots down the front of the roll to make it look like a recorder.
- Put your child's hair in pigtails and tie them with yellow ribbons.
- Bonus: Invite your child to draw a pet goldfish on paper to bring with them while they play.

Peter Costume Idea

- Help your child dress like Peter with a purple hat, shirt, and shorts. Create stripes on your child's shirt using masking tape.
- Cut a kazoo shape out of cardboard and color it purple with paint or markers.
- Optional: Invite your child to add flames to their scooter with stickers, paint, or removable tape.
- Bonus: Help your child learn the Peterrific song so that they can sing it to friends and family!

Rafael Costume Idea

- Help your child dress like Rafael with a gray top and blue jeans. Make a pocket out of tape.
- Find paintbrushes for your child to carry in their pocket or behind their ear.
- Make a sketch book with blank sheets of paper together and invite your child to carry it with them.
- Bonus: Make a "Rusty" name tag for a stuffed animal dog for your child to play with!
Kendra Costume Idea

- Help your child dress like Kendra with a gray top, a black skirt, and black slip on shoes. Really, any black outfit will do!
- Find white sunglasses for your child to wear. If you don't have white sunglasses, make your own by covering a pair with white paint or tape.
- Bonus: Invite your child to pink-or-treat while wearing black roller blades and a black helmet!
