Play "What Am I?" Game

Adult placing a Creature Power Disc on a child's head.

Question and answer games are a great way for children to learn about nature and the world around them. In this printable game from Wild Kratts, children ask questions and use the answer clues to help them identify the animal on their assigned Creature Power Disc.

Materials

Directions

1

Print and cut out a set of creature power discs. Turn all discs face down on a table.

2

Have one child randomly choose a disc from the table and hold the disc to his forehead facing towards the other players. The child holding the disc should not know which animal is on the creature disc. (Optional: Use tape to secure the disc to the child's forehead.)

3

The child holding the disc should then ask the other players questions to help him guess the creature. For example:

  • Where do I live?
  • What color am I?
  • What do I eat?
  • Do I have four feet?
  • Do I have a tail?
  • Do I live in water?

You can decide whether to limit the number of questions or limit the questions to yes or no questions. Or you can set a time limit for the child to guess the creature.

4

Once the first child has guessed the animal, place that creature disc back in the pile and mix up the discs face down. The next child can then choose a disc. Repeat until everyone has had a turn.
