Chartwell Manor

It is hardly surprising that Churchill felt at home in the English county of Kent, for this was the home of his adored nanny Mrs Everest. In 1922, Churchill cemented his link to Kent when he bought Chartwell Manor, near Westerham, and spent two years turning it into his personal haven.
