The Los Angeles County Arts Commission provides leadership in cultural services of all disciplines for the largest county in the United States, encompassing 88 municipalities.

The mission of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission is to foster excellence, diversity, vitality, understanding and accessibility of the arts in Los Angeles County. The Commission provides leadership in cultural services for the County, including information and resources for the community, artists, educators, arts organizations and municipalities.

Laura Zucker, Executive Producer

For the past 18 years, Laura Zucker has executive produced the L.A. Holiday Celebration, the multi-hour live show and broadcast from which the PBS one-hour special is created. Holiday Celebration is a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission which Ms. Zucker has led as Executive Director since 1992. She oversees a staff that administers a $4.1 million grant program that funds more than 300 nonprofit arts organizations annually, presents a multi-disciplinary summer festival at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre, manages the County's Civic Art Program for capital projects, funds free music concerts in public sites annually and provides informational and technical assistance services to arts organizations and municipal arts agencies. The Arts Commission also helms the implementation of Arts for All: Los Angeles County Regional Blueprint for Arts Education, a plan to restore sequential arts education to all 81 school districts in the County. Ms. Zucker is also the Director of the Master in Arts Management Program at Claremont Graduate University.

Kenneth Shapiro, Producer/Director

One of today's most multitalented television producer/directors, Kenneth Shapiro possesses a diverse background spanning more than 30 years and over a thousand hours of live, tape and film productions. Kenneth's is in his thirteenth year directing the L.A. County Holiday Celebration and his seventh time as co-producer for the program. His credits include an impressive cross section of programs such as the Academy Awards, Hope for Haiti, Stand Up 2 Cancer, L.A. Philharmonic Summer Concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, Fidelity Futurestage, America: Tribute to Heroes, A&E in Concert: Sting in Tuscany... All This Time, Shelter from the Storm, The Grammy Awards, American Music Awards and the original Live-Aid Concert as well as serving as a director on the number-one CBS hit comedy series, Everybody Loves Raymond. His work has aired on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and PBS and in syndication and on numerous cable channels including HBO, MTV, PAX, TNT, A&E and Showtime.

Kenneth is a two-time EMMY winner for his work on the A&E in Concert: Sting - Inside the songs of Sacred Love and the Academy Awards and has received numerous EMMY nominations including a LA Area EMMY nomination for the 49th & 50th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration. He has received four Telly Awards and an Aurora Award for producing the national broadcast of L.A. Holiday Celebration 2009, 2008 and 2003.
