Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf

In 2006, Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson was elected President of Liberia, making her the nation's first female head of state. Sirleaf-Johnson's popularity and success guided her to serve as the Liberian President from 2006 through January 2018.
