“My artwork is a symbol of hope and change…”

Artists around the country are using their gifts to amplify and celebrate the Black Lives Matter movement and work for change.

In “I Rise”, the fourth episode of the American Portrait documentary series, artists and activists, Lex shows us the role public art plays in her communities' activism. Watch those who are making art with a message show how their work contributes to The Black Lives Matter movement and other calls for social justice and equity.

Now is the time to remember the victims of police brutality.
