“There’s magic in that extra chromosome…”

This March, for World Down Syndrome Day, we celebrate the resilience and joy of our American Portrait participants with an extra chromosome

Each year, around 6,000 babies are born with Down syndrome in the United States. March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day, celebrates and bring awareness to those who have the 21st chromosome that causes the condition. Hear the triumphs and struggles of Americans with Down syndrome of all ages—and their families—as they live out full and vibrant lives.
