The tradition I carry on is Loving the Spirit of Christmas. My love of Christmas was passed on to me by my ancestors. My Great Grandmother Etha Bilbo Adams taught me the Spiritual meaning of Christmas, Aunt Kathy Scott Jones taught me the joy of decorating, Grandfather Kermie Eglin taught me giving by decorating his community, Step Dad James "Poochie" Ward loved decorations that he had to have millions of lights and the largest Christmas tree and Grandmother Freddie Mae Scott shared recipes for joyous meals. My desire is to embrace the true meaning by spreading love through sharing, giving and decorating in hopes that my neices, nephews, sibling, God children and friends will continue to pass on the tradition. When people visit our home I want them to smile and feel the Spirit of Christmas.
