I never expected…
I never expected that a little project I started from my smart phone would be feeding approximately 52,000 people per year powered purely on the kindness of strangers. In 2017 I founded the Lowcountry Blessing Box Project, which is now a network of more than 200 anonymous food donation sites for non-perishable goods and five refrigerators where folks in need can get food to help them through until their next payday. Our motto is “Leave what you can. Take what you need.” My project has turned into a Kindness Army all over South Carolina and beyond.
