Mill Mountain: Beacon of the Valley

Mill Mountain: Beacon of the Valley

Located within the city of Roanoke, Virginia, Mill Mountain has been a beacon for generations of visitors. Named for a mill that was built at its base in the 1700’s, the mountain has had a long and storied history. Over the years numerous attractions have called the mountain home - an incline, observation towers, a zoo, an inn that later became a theatre, a giant neon star and much, much more.
