The Maestro & The European Pop Orchestra is a contemporary pop orchestra led by violin soloist and composer Guido Dieteren. With his wife, singer Wendy Kokkelkoren, Guido and his orchestra prove that pop and classical blend harmoniously, guaranteeing a musical experience full of romance, emotion, passion, and energy.
For the Love & Peace Concert, The European Pop Orchestra performs together with Maestro Guido, soprano star Wendy Kokkelkoren and their children Emma-Sophie and Annabel on home ground as Kerkrade’s Market Square in the Netherlands is transformed into an atmospheric concert arena. A fantastic musical event, the concert features guest artists Tommy Fleming (The Voice of Ireland), rock and roll performers René Schuman & Angel-Eye, pop singer Roy Verbeek, and rising stars The Dutch Tenors.
The European Pop Orchestra is a pop band and a classical orchestra in one. This uniquecombination allows the vibrant orchestra to play almost any musical genre and bridge the gap between pop and classical. Well-known melodies are redesigned and complemented by many self-composed works by Guido Dieteren. In the past, Maestro Guido and the orchestra worked together with Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Diana Ross, Andre Rieu, Simply Red, Petula Clark, DJ Afro Jack and many others.
