The Davis family of seven, the Powers family of five, a pair of newlyweds, and a retired couple venture out in a fierce storm to take possession of their new island home. They must adapt quickly to their new way of life but bad weather, lack of experience, and limited rations lead to hunger and frustration. It’s only a last minute effort by the women that saves the day.
