A Megillah is the common name for the Biblical Book of Esther, written in scroll format.
The work commemorates the triumph of the Jews of the Persian Empire over their arch enemy Haman in the 5th century BCE.
On the left side, one can see Esther, Queen of Persia, and on the right side, Mordecai, who worked at the palace of the Persian Tsar and heard of the secret plans to execute the Jewish people.
Above, one can see the view of the city of Susa, a capital of the Persian Empire at that time.
Below is the image of a crowd of citizens of that empire.
