Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipIt's the six A state title game between the Rogers, Mounties, Andy Springdale Harber Wildcats.
I'm Archie Honk along with Bobby Swofford.
As we get you set forward, today's 6A title game got a good one.
Bobby is the Mounties.
Come in 22 and seven on the season.
Springdale 25 and eight and you know oftentimes you underwater northwest Arkansas teams going to come down to Benton to play Titanic.
Just that's how it works out, and I think the folks that are coming out for this one during for a dandy.
Yeah, these two teams know a lot about each other.
They played each other on back to back days during the regular season.
They split their conference championship, but you're going to see.
Rodgers is the number one seed because of a tie breaker or the overall record.
And because they're going to be the home Team 2 to one harbor, one on April the 26th.
Back that up the very next day, Rogers bounced back to the five nothing victory.
On April the 27th, both of these teams have a lot of good arms.
They both got a lot of pop.
They both have players going to play at the next level.
This is what you expect when you have the largest classification in the state.
In the state championship game, Rogers and Harbor is going to be a good one, and when you look just combined between these two teams, 7 college baseball players, whether it be Division One or Division two JUCO, you've got a lot of a lot of collegiate athletes on this field today.
Yeah, it's a lot of high end talent couple going Arkansas couple going Arkansas State.
As you mentioned on both sides, so this is going to be a really clean baseball game and.
Really, what comes down to the state championship games?
Who makes the critical error at the critical time?
Who gets that timely Basit?
Who can take advantage of a free path or a free walk or a wild pitch where the case?
Maybe that's what's going to be different in seven innings?
Well, let's go ahead and take a look at the Springdale Harber lineup as they make their way to the plate right now and for Springdale Harber.
They're going to lead off with Walker Animal will have Clark Jenkins batting second, Ethan Fender, Brock Kimball, Cooper Dassett, Drew McClendon, Ross Felder, Kate Ratcliffe, and Kate and Ross.
That's the lineup.
Or Springdale Harber, the battery for Rogers today they've got Jackson wells on the mound.
He'll be throwing to Eli Morkot, who is behind the plate today.
Both these outstanding players for the Rogers Mounties.
As I said, Rogers comes in 22 and seven on the year.
Springdale, 25 and eight.
And we're just about sitting ready to go here at Everett Field in Benton, AR, for the Class 6A state title game head coach for the Mounties, Matt Nelson for Springdale Harber, Dustin help camp.
And we're just about sitting ready to go.
Jackson Wells with the first pitch is a called strike on inside corner and that will start things off for Walker Animal.
Oh, and one.
No matter where you play, no matter what classification you're playing in.
Put a ground ball to short.
Nerves are going to be a factor in an infield single there for harbor's animal sets.
The table?
Yeah, it was a slow roller to the shortstop, and he let it play deep long throw.
But the speed of animal.
He's the right fielder today for Springdale Harber, and that is the first base hit of the ball game for Springdale Harber and no good.
She would let that one come to him instead of charging the baseball kind of tough angle.
Had to arrange deep to his right.
Couldn't get enough on the throw to gun down the speedy animal.
Jenkins at the plate now for Springdale Harber is he'll take a ball alone outside Jenkins Court Jenkins that is going to Arkansas State plane left field today for Springdale Harber, batting 221 with twelve RBI.
He has had a trip on a home run this year.
Wells with the one oh pitch way inside and takes account to another.
That 88 mile an hour fastball had a little too much and run on the inside and now Jenkins in a favorable count.
Here's a pic.
Move back over to first base and he gets back safely.
Jackson wells.
When I when you talk to Rogers and and really, they've gotten a plethora of arms that can come out and throw.
But talking with Matt Nelson, he said, you know, this is our go to guy.
Throughout the years there's a chopper to 3rd trying to roll it up at second base and they get the out at 2nd.
That's the first out of the inning to be a filters choice.
Record Jenkins.
The last job I long get the lead runner throw a little off the mark, but friendly bunch able to make the reach.
And a fish.
The empire in the field trade prior so that the toll on the bag.
But of course we've got a little umbrage there from the harbor staff.
But you know, one thing that we talked about earlier in that first game that we did today.
The field here at Everett Field is an all turf field, so when you go to slide get you have a little momentum in that slide, you slide past the bag and that Pro was a little off.
You watch the replay here, little off target, but.
I think Coach Health camps got a bit of an argument.
Here's wells with pitch.
This is outside this one off.
Overcast skies today here in Benton, a little rain rolled through earlier today.
Hopefully will stay out of that.
Here in the nightcap.
One O swung on and fouled off into the Rogers dugout.
You can tell Wells is going to want to stay down work low in that strike.
So let's say that bottom third, you elevate the ball too much against this powerful Harbor lineup you're going to.
He wishes he didn't make you pay and then put some balls out in the parking lot.
Here's the 11 nice curveball.
Broke it off on top and it's now one too much Bender there.
Nice change of pace.
Easily a 15 mile an hour differential between his fastball and his breaking ball.
So unless you're looking for that as a harbor, hitters will be tough to slow down the bad enough to get a good swing off 1/2's account as there's a throwback over the first and only close play at first base.
Fire says he gets back safely.
Right on top of that call.
Nice move there by Wells Icepick attempt.
Removing he's getting he's getting ever so close.
Every time he throws over.
By the way, Jackson Wells has committed to go Play college baseball at University of Arkansas.
Rich mountain.
The Junior college program down in me know.
Division Two in the junior college ranks.
1/2 here it is.
Another curveball that's slap foul over into the Rogers side of the field.
It's got a great curveball, does lot of North South action.
Called the 12/6 variety.
Jackson wells.
He's he's not one to work quickly through his counts.
He's really paying attention to the runner at first.
Here's the 1/2 up I throw down to 1st and my college safe.
That was close.
Fire right there on top of it, and that was a Bang Bang play.
Nice job there by Mark off to throw behind the runner.
He's gonna be a good look at it.
And less he missed him on that far side, which we couldn't see.
The throw was there in time, but you don't.
You can't tell if it if the glove actually touched him or not.
Great job on Marcotte though.
Throw it behind the runner.
22 It's inside probably should have been rewarded with a pickoff attempt there, or pick off it's as you mentioned, it couldn't tell us A tag was applied.
At first so the count story into.
There's only one out here in the top of the first inning.
Another attempt over to first base.
Lot of attention being played to.
Clark Jenkins Jenkins headed Arkansas State play baseball next year.
Yeah, this definitely much more methodical approach from wells and we saw in that 5A title game earlier between Van Buren, Jonesboro.
Here's the three two.
Now.
The curveball that's fouled off pointers claimed their first ever state championship.
Rogers open to do the same thing tonight.
So far here in the top of the first inning, Jackson Wells has already thrown 12 pitches.
So we got one out here in the top of the first.
3 twos on the way runner goes, swimming mess.
They throw down to 2nd and they got him at second base for the double play.
Drag him out full amount and that's gonna do it for the top of the first, 'cause we end one.
No runs one hit, no errors.
We head to the bottom of her sitting squirrels here watching the Centennial Bank State Baseball Championships and Arkansas PBS sports.

AARP BS sports.
We are at the bottom of the first inning, has its now Rogers turned to come to the plate they'll have Eli Marcotte, Jackson wells, and Cake seldom Ridge.
The top three hitters form the Mounties.
Come up there, arrestor lineup.
Looks like this.
You got time, Frakes, Carson euchre, no good shield Josh loin, Finley Bunch, and JT Nelson to round out the lineup for Rogers.
The battery today for Springdale Harber on the mound.
Cooper Dawson Dawson is 5 and one with a 3.36 CRA with 56 Tronic strikeouts this year.
Brock Kimball is the catcher for Springdale Harbor.
The harbor is not going to be intimidated by the stage now they've been to the last four state championship games played.
You gotta remember last year it didn't have a title game.
Wildcats win the finals in 1718 nineteen and now here in 21.
So even though the last time they were technically in a title game all the seniors were sophomores.
They know what it's like to play at this big stage.
Looking around the field for Springdale Harber Ethan Fender is at third base runs field or shortstop Kate and Ross second base.
Kate Ratcliffe, first in the outfield park, Jenkins and left room Mclendon, Center Ann Walker Animal is over right field leading things off as Eli.
Mark cut a 263 hitter with 20 are behind this year.
First pitch to him swung and missed.
Pumps one across 86 to start things off.
See a heavy dose of the fastball from Dorset.
Here's the 01.
It's up high sound comes in at 87 miles an hour.
The Crown on hand.
With Harbor and Rogers fans here at Everett Field as the one one is foul tip back pics count 1-2.
Brock Kimball took that one off the face, but then again, as a catcher, that's why you wear a helmet.
Today's officials for this 6A title game, Cole Peters is behind the plate Paul Cates in the field and trade Pryor in the field.
Here's the 1/2 curveballs swing on the mess that is a big curveball.
Nasty breaking ball there from Dorset.
He starts off 8687 on the fastball and he pulls the string on that curveball and.
Marcotte's out there swinging a sword.
So that brings up Jackson Wells, the pitcher for Rogers to the plane.
He is a 337 hitter this year.
Royals picture on picture violence here, so he wins battle number one.
There's a pit sits up high and inside.
Das is going to sit.
Mid to upper 80s touched 88 there.
I only see him start to let loose as he gets good and warm, but it's a nice humid night here in Benton, one owes a check swing back to the pitcher an for harbors.
Dossetti throws him out at first base.
To be able to do a lot with that 89 up around the letters and try to check his swing that Jackson Wells but DOS if it's an easy roller back to himself, flips over to 1st and quickly two outs here and bottom one.
So now Kate seldom ridges at the Plenty's plans their field today, batting 280 with 16 RBI, 14 stolen bases.
So he's a volume guy.
If he gets on base you know he's going to run.
Soap eyeball one.
By quicker pace from Dawson too.
It's the mall macros catcher Kimball and he's going to work.
Here is the one O pitch and it's in there for a strike.
Takes count to one in one.
A good angle.
We've had the great camera work by the way, in the first game today and already so far here today and a couple of replays, but so the great spot to see the movement he has on his fastball, one ones outside.
Count 21 works very quickly if you wanna talk about contrasting pictures between Cooper, Dawson, Jackson, Wells, Dawson.
He gets up there and just works fast.
The ones on the way it's outside, it's got 3/1.
Up in the zone is Dawson's challenging.
These heart Rogers hitters to come up and get it.
Nice job here to lay off, seldom rich.
It's one left in the right field and right into the grub of Walker level, and that's going to do it for the first inning.
So Paul Rogers no runs, no hits, no errors.
We head to the top of the second inning.
Scoreless ball game is 68 title game.
You're watching this Centennial Bank State baseball championships in Arkansas.

So we headed out the second inning and Springdale Harbor.
Is back at the plate.
They will go 456 in the lineup with Brock Kimball, Cooper Dawson, Andrew McClendon.
In the top of the first, Harper was able to get one hit.
That was all they could muster.
Drop temporal lobe Rod Kimble comes to the plate batting 337 this year with 18 RBI.
First pitch is swung on and fouled back.
To see the pace that Wells has with no one on base, he was obviously really concerned about animal.
The leadoff man getting on base.
And then thereafter see if he picks up the pace here and ending #2.
Here's the 01 swing on driven out to left field coming in as the left fielder makes a diving to catch.
Nice job by JT Melson.
Stretch out there and make the out.
And that will bring Cooper Dawson to play.
Nice job.
I'm Nelson, able to track that one down the left hander just inside the foul line lays out and makes a nice catch.
How many locations?
Still a nice catch.
So that brings up Cooper Dassett as the first pitches outside Dawson headed to Arkansas to play baseball next year.
Jonah, a list of players from harbor of our team made their way to the hill.
Of course, Blake Adams from a couple of years ago, signed with the Hogs out of high school.
Well, pitches outside to all the ball and brings account to a no.
Springdale harbors only been around about 1314 years.
Now, as far as a high school.
Already established themselves as one of the better baseball programs in the state.
Here's the two oh pitch swung on.
Let you go.
I feel that's a second base.
Suitable game for the Wildcats.
Nice job there.
From Dorset Key pulls the hands in turns on the pitch, gets himself a base knock.
Pictures always love to help themselves.
Yeah, Drew Mclendon comes up next.
He's the center fielder for the Wildcats.
That's 258 on the season with 24 RBI.
Does have five home runs, which leads the team.
Here's the pitch, and it's caught the inside corner for strike.
You can tell this well, is this really slows the pace down whether he's trying to get the the runner uncomfortable or they're trying to get the batter out of his rhythm just really slows down the grind there on the mound.
Runners on the path.
Here's the old one swung on, popped up on the right side.
Coming in as McCain and he'll make the catch in right field for the second out.
71 on that curveball he's been sitting mid 80s with the fastball, so you can do the math 13 to 15 mile an hour difference in that fastball and curveball.
It's really tough to slow the swing down enough unless you recognize it immediately out of his hand.
You're going to see a lot of lazy fly balls, a lot of tough swings on that breaking ball.
So the point is rossfeld are.
The shortstop for the Wildcats as they pick move back to first is safe.
Rossfeld are also heading to Arkansas and he's batting 299 this year with 29 RBI.
Lot of production near the bottom of the lineup.
You mentioned the numbers from Mclendon Felder driving in 29.
Her balls in there for a called strike even 70 on the gun.
It's really tough tough pitch to hit, whether it's right down the middle or not, and that was a good placement on the outer third.
Two hours here in the top of the second inning scoreless ball game between Springdale Harbor and Rogers.
Here's the old one, this outside.
Pics count one and one.
Just imagine you're in that box RJ and all of a sudden you see a 70 mile an hour Bender.
And then all of a sudden he pumps 84 on the black.
Yeah, I mean that's as a picture on the ground.
That was a little bit outside and called the ball.
That's sometimes you gotta throw your hands up and like I want to do here.
SO11's account with two outs here in the top of the second.
Here's the 11 basketball below.
It takes count two and one.
Nice job here.
To work the count back in his favor for Felder.
See if you can take advantage.
Move that runner around.
Here's the two one and it's a called Strike in the outside corner and bring it to him too.
And we haven't talked about the elephant in the room yet.
They saw that shot of Jackson Wells and I may wait till the next time it comes up and he's got the making of a mullet going on and that's that.
Did see that.
Two choose account.
Here's the pitch curveball Swan.
And found out a play.
Generally, I don't talk about that talk about the flow.
Well, that's a good head of salad.
You know, I've noticed with the younger generation the mullet is coming back and there's a lot of things coming back to the younger generation that should have died in the 80s, but I've seen it a lot here lately, yeah?
Here's the two two.
This is outside.
Takes it full.
I guess I'm probably old guy now.
It says get off my lawn, but there's something we could probably have an entire inning based on the things that have come back that shouldn't have.
Yeah, good music is not one of them though unfortunately, and it's not.
Depends on what music it is.
And there's not a lot of good music out there.
You do sound old.
Oh 3 balls, two strikes.
There's two outs in the top of the second inning.
And it's outside.
He misses, walks in Jackson Wells starting his path back to the dugouts, and.
How to put a foot in the ground and turn around?
Is that one just match off the outside edge?
So that brings to the plate cake.
Ratcliffe, the first baseman who's hitting 227 this year with eleven RBI.
After not getting the Colville there, wells are going to really settle in and work himself out of this jam here in the second.
Runners at 1st and 2nd.
For the Wildcats.
Her ball hits the dirt.
Or the turf?
And it's wanna know.
By the way, if anybody is wondering here at Everett Field, down the lines on the field, it's 320.
Power alleys 355 in Dead Center 375.
One is on the way.
Swan and missed.
Flags are pretty still on the right field.
So mall is going to carry.
Nothing really to knock it down.
Might be the thickness of the air really really humid today.
11's account with two ounce.
Here's the pitch swung on out to short and rolled the second.
That'll do it for them.
Nice job there by wells to work himself out of the mini jam leaves two runners on.
So we head to the bottom of the second inning scoreless ball game.
Harbor does have two hits of this when you're watching the Centennial Bank State Baseball championships in Arkansas.

Cooper Dassett makes his way back out after shutting down Rogers in the first ending 123 so he'll take on the 456 hitters in this half inning with Thai Frakes.
Carson Ukuran know, a good shield breaks the first baseman today for Rogers hitting 260 with 18 RBI.
Delete things off here in the bottom of the second inning.
Glad to have you along wherever you may be across great State of Arkansas.
Championship action all weekend long.
The two baseball games each day and going through the schedule later on, but two tonight or two today.
2:00 tomorrow and two on Saturday.
As the first pitch to Frakes.
Gonna hit in the back and hit the first race.
African ball didn't break.
Those are the hit by pitches you would love as a hitter.
You mentioned the state championship game so far.
Today.
Congratulations to that uckermann girls to a softball title and then the Benson Lady Panthers capped off a perfect season.
Handled Greenwood in the 5A championship game.
Of course, you already mentioned the Van Buren pointers won the 5A baseball Crown.
There's a wild pitch in sales over Brock Kimble's head, and so that'll advance time.
Frakes to second base.
After a spotless first inning for Dassett got himself into trouble here.
Carson, you correct plate right now for Rogers as he shows but pulls it back.
Now I throw down to 2nd and getting back safely was Frakes good throw mana got him francs golf second base a little too much there.
Go to the back by Kimball not have been able to pick him off, you know, Carson Euchre.
He he didn't get to play a full season with Rodgers.
He came late because he was participating in basketball.
Shobana again.
Pulls it back, pops out the glove, and that takes count to three, no?
Doesn't look comfortable to sit in his Dawson, really missing his spots.
Last decision there by Kimball to go out and have a brief conversation with this picture.
Try to settle the nerves a bit.
Calm things down on deck is gonna be no good shield.
Three O's account is where the bottom of the second inning.
There's a fastball on the inside half at 86 miles an hour to bring the count of three, one taking all the way there.
Probably a good take by euchre.
She was born on 3/1 pulls the bag, but it's a strike and then we've got a full count.
That's another good pitch.
There are J Haywood ***** men on the hands on the inner half.
Nothing you could could do with that.
Try to get it down and now accounts full.
Working with a man at second base.
Here's the pitch swung on him and struck him out.
Is the great job by.
Dorset, to be able to work from behind and come back at the Strikeout's work.
Pays to have an experienced catcher go out there and have a conversation with your picture to settling down.
After that 30 count, including a wild pitch allowed the rather get to second base and pumps that one right by euchre.
So that brings up no good shield.
The shortstop for the Mounties?
He's batting 270 with 17 RBI this year.
First pitch is high.
When I was on the way, swung on and found out a play your Rogers, you don't want to waste an added advantage that Dorset gave you gave you hit pit hit by pitch pass ball or excuse me a wild pitch moved him over to 2nd with nobody out.
It got to find a way to move him around and get him across.
Have to be able to take advantage.
Of the scoring opportunities that you get against quality pitching.
Here's the 11.
Spawn Runner goes Anne Hill slide in safely to 3rd.
Bold wild pitch.
And that'll take account 21 great heads up baserunning there.
By frakes.
Sue the ball not handled cleanly by the catcher.
Kimball, merely broke, got there without a throw.
You know, it seems to me like Dosset has struggled more than with a runner on.
As next pitch settles high.
And at first he seemed cool, calm and collected.
Chlorotic missing mostly mostly high in the strike zone.
Here's the three one that's a pine inside.
That's the issue we've seen is really through the first inning and a half.
You can't really dissect down.
Pichery is based on the five or six batters he's faced.
But when he does miss so far today, it's been up.
How about Thursday's phone number and Josh blowing?
So now Josh lying comes to the plate.
He's playing third base today.
And you know his numbers are a bit down.
He's hitting 2:40 with only eleven RBI, but.
Coach Nelson was telling me that he missed the entire first half of the baseball season with a broken wrist.
Good reason why your numbers are going down.
He's going to show bunt as.
The Prince Bullet misses loan away showed that Bun early.
Who knew he was going to pull it back the entire time, or.
I'm gonna try to move that runner over.
There's the 10 going to place the bunt down the first base side.
Look at the tag and I don't think they called it South.
The home plate on fire blew that one dead to start with.
We're calling it a foul ball.
As an AL codes Nelson, so that's going to take a run off the board, and as you mentioned that RJ Coach Nelson is going to want an explanation of this one.
And the only thing I could think of is.
Did it hit the plate?
No 'cause it was.
Well, he says he's in foul territory when he catches it.
So if it crosses the line and he's the first to catch it, they're going to say it's found.
Have you called a foul ball so the run comes off the board?
How long is back in the box 11's account?
Wanna mess?
Brings up the one in two.
And Nelson must've must've agreed because it was a very brief conversation.
Here's one too slow or no.
It's in there quite brief.
Nice job by Dawson pumps that one at 88 is the 2nd strike out of the inning.
Its third, the first two innings, and now he's just an out a way of getting out of this jam.
So there's two outs now with a runner at first and third number azfamily Bunch comes into play.
The second baseman.
Bunch is batting 180 this year.
He's second on the team with stolen bases.
Matter much right here is the runner goes or will.
He felt like he was going to 2nd's pitching there called a strike.
Get a big secondary lead over at first base is no a good shield.
No, if Kimball's got the confidence in it, he may throw behind the runner and have a chance to pick off the Rogers baserunner.
Here's the old one.
He tried to bunt it missed its own too.
Golden opportunity here for Rogers had a runner on second base with nobody out.
I find a way to scratch across Iran, but Dawson is making life difficult on him.
Otuz account here's the pitch out back.
Class defensive swing there by Finley Bunch.
Close enough to the strike zone.
He thought at least.
Flips the bat out there and.
Live to see.
Another pitch launches the 8 hole hitter for this Mountie team.
Here's the 021 and found out of play.
I want 90.
The hardest we've seen Dorset throw up to this point.
He's you can tell he's he's reaching back just to try to get this inning.
And you know, if he does without allowing a run, that's a testament to what he's done so far because he's gone this entire inning with at least one runner on.
He's got a plus arm.
He's got faith in it.
Receiving trying to blow one by a bunch to get out of the frame.
Otuz account.
Was it sign outside?
That's one of those pictures you don't mind if you're a coach, you know.
Go up and out of the zone.
Try to give him a chase after he fouled off two or three in a row.
So if he tries to go off speed here.
012 Swanton found back just more 9090 mile an hour.
Gas right at the letters I would say is loose now.
For Rogers, they've got two runners on, but they've yet to get a base hit.
Para walks.
1/2's account throw over the 1st.
It's a sign outside even the count of two and two.
There was an off speed pitch there that might have been a change over nowhere near the strike zone and.
Friendly Bunch is making Dos at work at it.
Cooper Dawson now thrown 34 pitches so far in the game, delivers the two two up high.
I've got a full count now three and two really good at bat.
From bunch files off a few pitches down 02 was bad all the way back to 3/2 and that's going to set the runner in motion over at first.
So one of the gap has the possibility of scoring a pair.
Florida Mystery gets it out.
Friendly Bunch goes down with a strike back to back strikeouts for Cooper Dawson.

Back here in Ben scoreless ball game in six a title game now is good time to tell you about our baseball student athlete of the year and he comes from Conway as Anthony Snyder, the catcher for the Wampus Cats have had an outstanding year not only on the diamond but the senior had a 3.8 GPA and plans to attend and play baseball at Southern Arkansas University.
So congratulations to Anthony Snyder, our student athlete of the year.
Raptor.
We head to the top the third inning, where 4 Springdale Harbor.
They will go with their 912 hitters in Catan.
Ross Walker Hamill and Clark Jenkins.
Because you know all about that.
So Kate and Ross, a left handed batter, will step into the box to start at the top of the third inning.
Jackson Wells fires a fastball outside and it'll start off.
Wanna know?
Second baseman wrong.
Ross is a 239 batter this year with four RBI's second pitches in their first strike.
Like the old school look there from Rosnow batting gloves 11 is low.
Will tape on a dirty rap in the bottom of the barrel.
We like to see.
2 balls, one strike pitch on the way as its way outside to go.
Three in one.
The outfield alignment for Rogers JT Nelson is in left, Cade seldom ridges in Center and Jake McCain over in right field.
They're playing extremely shallow, as the three one pitch is called a strike on an outside corner.
They really are.
Anything over their head.
Ross is going to be running for a while.
Re 2 pitches.
Found a way.
Both pitchers in this game now thrown 36 pitches.
As Jackson Wells delivers the three, two and it's inside, he'll walk kaydeross the 9 hole hitter.
Good and bad myross to start this third inning.
Flips the lineup over.
The chance for Walker Immel already has a base it in this contest.
Swing it with a runner on.
People who lead things off to start this game.
Got on with the base hit to start the first inning.
Her ball hits the turf.
The one thing for Jackson Wells will notice he slows things down with the Runner on base.
As he checks over, at first he's only faced one batter in this context without a runner on base, yeah.
Well now to after this in so it's if you don't count the start of the game, he's he's constantly had action on the base pass.
That's exactly what you want to do.
If you're Springdale Harber, they haven't been able to push him around and push him over.
One of those account Runner first base.
As it's a bollone away.
Next account to know.
2 ones in the turf bounce to home plate and that brings the three.
No, that's a good pic back there by Mark Cotton.
If this is not turf and this is dirt, that may be all the way to the backstop.
Got a lot of funny bounces on the turf though.
You know what you're going to get?
Three O's on the way and it's high in tight, so back to back walks now.
For Jackson wells.
And now they're going to have a meeting on the mound.
It well just has not looked comfortable with runners on base.
Sibling calming down his pitch count now at 41 two innings of work.
So the conference on the mound is.
Think about 20 or 30 seconds and that'll bring Clay Jenkins to the plate.
The Arkansas State commitment.
All the bags back in the first inning with fielders choice and so he'll be awaiting.
The conference with amount of break up three walks with one strikeout, Jackson Wells, but the number on the board that matters most.
No runs given up to this point.
So if you can settle in and try to work himself out of this jam.
We talked about it before the ball game.
Springdale Harbor has won a state title.
It was back in 2018.
They've been in the game five times.
As for Rodgers, they've been in five times, but they've never had a title.
So Jenkins at the plate with runners at 1st and 2nd.
Pick move back to second.
They got it right.
Pick move no good shield able to sneak behind the runner.
Shane Ross got just a little too far in a perfect throw from Wells Gundy mounted 2nd.
So now there's only one runner on the bags.
With one out here in the top of the third inning still perfect throw for wells.
Good Shield gets the tag right on the helmet.
Easy call for trade for out at 2nd.
Pitch is on the way and it's outside.
Jackson Wells with a leg kick going on and Miss Table, the breaking ball that time it's 77.
Please account at one and one.
Now pick move back to first.
As Walker, Emily gets back safely.
I would imagine Walker animals paying close attention to.
Jackson Wells and his pick move.
If you recall, back in the first inning when Walker and will got on, there were a lot of moves over to first base, including one from the catcher.
Yeah, so.
Rogers is not going to let Harbour become comfortable on the base path.
That's for certain.
Here's a pitch that bounces to the plane to bring the count two and one great job by Marcotte there and see the tilt.
Lean the chest forwards, then the ball off the turf keeps it in front, keeps running first base fundamentals.
Two one pitch is on the way, it's outside goes 31.
Jackson wells got out of a small jam when he had runners at 1st and 2nd, but he's threatening to get.
Into that situation again.
Please flirt with the title of Affectively Wild.
Pick move over to first.
He does have a great Pickman if he does.
Both 1st and 2nd.
So it doesn't show up on the on the pitch counter is the number of throws over to first you can add another 10 or 12 of those already.
The ones on the way it's slowing outside.
He walks it.
That is the third walk.
In a row here in the top of the third inning.
Command not there tonight for Jackson Wells.
Unable to avoid damage.
Up to this point, but you mentioned in RG3 consecutive walks.
Did benefit from the pickoff at second base, but back into another pickle.
So there's one out here in the top of the third inning.
As at the plate.
Ethan Fender.
Struck out back in the third.
Here's the pitch as it's a called strike right down Broadway.
That time its own one nice shot by wells there took a little bit off, came across at 80 miles an hour.
But out of the third, get ahead in the count.
Get a little confidence going.
Here's the old one popped up shallow centerfield coming in to make the plays.
Seldom Ridge.
And there's two outs.
Seldom Rich had to cover a lot of ground to come in and catch that fly ball to center.
Really good use of the offspeed pitches there from Jackson Wells and even though he's walked three in this frame, has a chance to get out of it unscathed.
If he can set one more down.
Two outs, top of the third inning.
Scoreless ball game between Harbor Ann Rogers in the six, a title game and that will bring up.
Brock Kimball now he is the four hole hitter for Springdale Harbor.
337 average 18 RBI's going to Pittsburgh State.
Division Two school there in Kansas.
Really good baseball division.
Two school in the Gorrillas.
And they're usually pretty good in football as well have been.
So Kimble he's a fastball that misses the outside.
Kimble back in the second inning flied to left field.
And actually, that was a more of a line drive that was.
It was just a spectacular play when they don't, Forton caught it.
Here's 10 swung on popped up out of plane.
SO11's account.
There's a nice slider that was in there for a called strike.
Bring it down to one and two really nice pitch there on the outer third.
I could do nothing with it.
I can watch that one go by for strike two.
One ball 2 strikes trying to get out of the inning.
Here's the pitch curveball in there.
Strike three, and he does it.
Catches the top of his own.
He walks three in the inning RJ though, but finds a way to get out of the jam unscathed and we're still scoreless.
We're headed to the bottom of the third inning and you're watching this Centennial Bank State baseball championships on Arkansas PBS sports.
Sports this is so important to the state and the fabric of the state, and I appreciate Arkansas PBS doing all the state title games and that makes it available for not just the fans in Central Arkansas, South Arkansas.
The fans around the entire state.
I can only think of the kids in small towns and this is the biggest moment.
Maybe in their sports careers and they have that keepsake of having that game on TV to have with them the rest of their lives.
Thanks George, appreciated the Big Red stores were always proud to sponsor support and partner up with many events and activities throughout the community, among them high school championships throughout the state of Arkansas at Big Red Stores, our team members are always ready to assist you to make your visit with us a pleasant one and a big red stores.

You can watch all the championship games on youtube.com/arkansas.
PBS will find the football title games, the Basketball Championships, baseball and softball coming up next week as well.
I do two things.
I watch it on YouTube when I'm on the road, you know.
But when I'm at the house and want to recap what happened in say 2017, I get the DVD with Eminem Productions.
There you go so you see how it worked, both those in there like that.
Yeah, so I think it is we're going to break down the film too.
We gotta critique ourselves, I mean.
On the road traveling, I'm able to watch it on YouTube and then never I will sit back and watch my kid when she's 12 or something like that.
Dad used to do.
I used to have a little talent.
Yeah, yes, OK, so we have Rodgers at the plate.
As JT Nelson is going to be leading things off Etsy at 912 hitters as.
The time Cooper Dawson fires a strike in there on the outside corner, Nelson made a nice diving catch in the field.
Earlier, since he can help his offense get things going.
I want someone back in the box.
That's the first base hit for Rogers in the ball game.
Nice job on Nelson, just waiting for that one to travel.
Goes right back up the middle with.
It's just the leadoff man on for the Mounties, so now Eli more card is going to be at the plane.
He struck out back in the first inning.
Provided customer not working out some nice little streaky for himself through a six game.
Excuse me a six inning shutout?
As they took down Bryant.
Who is believed to be the number one team in the state?
Harbor took down a Hornets three to nothing.
No hitter combined between he and Ross Felder.
Struck out eleven.
But being shown by Mark Cotan found at the plate.
So far, the box score in this one harbor no runs, two hits, no errors while Rodgers.
No runs, one hit and no errors.
A lot more kind of plate showing, but once again as they throw it down to 1st and back safely easily.
He was able to pull that back, so it brings the count to 11.
But one thing that's been pretty obvious is these teams get a runner on base.
There is going to be a lot of concern.
From both the pitcher and the catcher to make sure they don't steal extra basis.
Great pic there, there's a lot of speed, but between both these teams and both coaches notice that when I was talking to him prior to the ball game and an I think it's more of a respect thing.
Mainly because the fact that they've already seen each other this year, they've already splitting their series and so they kind of know each other quite well.
You're not going to surprise anybody at this point.
Here's the one one with a bunt put down back of the pitchers mound.
They throw it to 1st, get the out, but it advances.
The runner melts into second base.
Great job on Mar Con, gets the sacrificed down.
Move the runner into scoring position and will see it again coming up this weekend to leave.
It's the 1/8 championship game is or county and Viola going to meet for the 5th time.
How many movies in the championship game really?
Not all that rare.
But it does give usually give for a good contest is going to be no surprises.
So whoever plays better on a given day is going to take home a championship.
Jackson Wells is at the plate now.
Rounded up is the picture back in the first inning.
Kirpal this is low and outside.
One out bottom of the third inning.
Second, they throw back in.
I don't think the second baseman was ready for that one.
Katharos it was about 3 feet away from the bag.
Here's the 10 fastball.
This is high and outside do it on.
Hitters count here for Jackson Wells 337 on the season.
Change to help himself.
Maybe give him self and his team a lead.
As the tool pitch greeno.
Can you sync to the outfield?
Is going to score Melson.
He's getting pretty nice.
Secondary lead.
You can see him on the bottom of the screen.
Takes it nicely to start, but he bounds out of the screen.
But that one's going by from all four four straight balls puts Jackson Wells on the bags.
And so that brings up Cade Seldomridge.
It's like coming on to pinch run for Spring Yorker.
Rogers is going to be Chris Francisco first base.
As seldom bridges at the plate, he flied to right field back in the first inning.
Now Francisco is going to be a courtesy runner.
In high school baseball, you can have a courtesy runner, which means essentially a free pinch runner for both your picture and your catcher.
Then actually having to take those players out of the game in the harbor is going to visit to the mound.
Camp will have a chat with this picture.
1st and 2nd now one out.
And so now they're going to have a meeting on the mound.
Ann with one out here in the bottom of the third inning.
And you've got runners at 1st and 2nd.
He's going to find a way to calm down and throw strikes this point, and because so far in this game, really he's only allowed three batters on one hit by pitch.
Two walks outside of that so far, Cooper Dossett has had four strikeouts so far in the game.
Barber does have some action going in the bullpen.
Tyler Ridley #6 the Wildcats starting to loosen up.
But I think at some point RJ with these pitch counts are to be in 52 and 45 respectively.
They're going to have to bullpen eventually, yeah?
We were not going to see more than likely unless they settle down and really start to pick up the pace.
So we're going to be decided by the extra arms.
So at the plate seldomridge as a curveball drops in there called a strike like I like that they thought their runners on base will be sitting dead red.
Try to get a fastball after a couple of base on balls and he bends.
Went over for striking.
It's ahead in the count.
No one's account runners at first and second thought about the bond, pulled it back, got away from the catcher.
Runners.
Were they advanced to 2nd and 3rd?
I seldom reach the nice job, just avoiding that one.
And run at him at the wild pitch allows the two runners to advance.
Now two in scoring position for Seldomridge with 16 RBI's on the season.
And now coach.
Helmkamp will talk to the home plate umpire.
I think it will ask if you actually went around.
As he tried to get out of the way, coach Helmkamp's asking for the bat come around.
He said no so.
11's account.
Filled in all the way around for harbor.
Salem Ridge at the plate.
Curveball.
Swing on a missed.
Bring his account to one and two.
Another good breaking ball there.
From Dawson he's got great stuff.
Does is just little wild little wild so far in this one.
One out bottom of the third inning.
Ask Paul, this is inside doing 2 for the Mr Spot there that might have been strike, but in the catcher stands up.
He wants it higher than almost any pumps went across right above the knees.
It's tough to get that call.
Others its second and third for Rogers.
You can say a strike should be a strike, but when you miss your spot in, the catcher has to go that far for it.
22 Shawna missed.
Didn't matter there as it gets the strikeout, his fifth of the contest went to catcher has to really stretch out for it, so if you're going to hideaway and awesome that pitches up right across the middle yet to reach across, Fort Empire is rarely going to give you the benefit of the doubt and give you the call, yeah.
Well, now that brings up the four hole hitter time Frakes, who was hit by a pitch back in the second inning an for Cooper Dassett.
He is one out away from getting out of sitting unharmed.
First pitch to him.
The fastball caught that outside corner called a strike.
Still sitting in the upper 80s at 189 so the velocity is still there.
You know the pitch count now is over 50.
We're still in the third.
Here's the old one.
Basketball missed.
Outside that time.
Good spot though Lol away.
Little velocity on it.
11's on the way.
Mr. Outside again.
Where is the count two and one?
18 RBI's on the year for freaks.
Here's the two one pitch fastball, mislow baloga knees.
Brings account now to three and one.
He's got a bag open at first base in case he walks him.
That just make it bases loaded.
People seeing the catcher Brock Kim will get a little frustrated with the lack of calls going his way.
Well, if you notice, the umpires set up on the inside part of the plate.
Here's the three.
One curveball, Paula strike.
In Model United talked about this during the during the break, you're seeing a lot of umpires because of the angle across the plate that they can see set up on that inside for employment.
It kind of takes the catcher out of the equation.
You can maybe see more the place you're not blocked by the catcher.
3/2 swing on it found back, you know, really it's all a comfort level.
You know there are 99% of us watching this game have no desire to get behind the plate anyway, but you gotta be comfortable back there.
So as long as you're consistent with it, which he has been up to this point.
But a lot of times, if you set up on the inside, it's that outside pitch that you may not to get the benefit of the doubt from there also not shielded by as much by the catcher, and so ideally you're seeing more of the plate, yeah?
I think the frustration for some catchers is they think that they catch that outside corner opposite where he set up.
And here's when it sailed over.
The catchers had play at the plate.
He said that's the first rule of all game.
Done well on his own RJ that one sales to the backstop.
Cheap run there for the Mounties.
So JT Nelson scores in a wild pitch that puts Jackson wells over at third base and time Franks is sitting at 1st every walked.
So now Carson euchre.
The designated hitter comes through plenty, struck out back in the second inning.
Go back out and talk to his picture.
Out of mound visits for this meeting.
So Harper goes back out there.
They're going to have to make a change.
Our coaching staff that is.
So the meeting at the mounds over with his euchre awaits his first pitch.
You can see five whole hitters Rogers.
So far they have sent five players to the plate.
Single back up the middle, sacrificed, walk, strikeout or another walk.
Movie The type of endings that give you heartburn as a coach.
Runners on the corners.
Two outs here in the bottom of the third inning.
Fastball apply.
Missing everything up in the zone, you know as a coach, maybe even as a player you can live with the Rockets in the deep fly balls, but it's the bloops little bleeders into the oil field in the unforced errors.
As far as base on balls that that really give you nightmares.
Pick move goes back to first and he was back easily.
Here's one, all sales high game play at the plate.
Yours is the ball got away from the picture, hands down to to nothing for that ball ricocheted almost all the way back to the plate, and Kimball able to get there quickly.
But his throw to the covering picture dusted well off the mark.
A good throw Mana had a chance to get the runner as we see it there for that one wall off the mark and two runs on two wild pitches in this setting for the Mounties, and that brings account 204 cars in euchre.
Self inflicted wounds.
For Dawson on the mound.
2 balls, no strikes.
Pitch is on the way up high.
Carino I can't speak for coach Helmkamp, but.
Put him on here on four straight balls.
The day may be done for Dorset.
You have action in the bullpen.
Tyler Ridley has been warming.
Here's the pitch.
Alpine walks.
So so far in this setting that is now the third batter to walk here in the inning that is going to do it for Dawson.
5 strikeouts, four walks.
Two and 2/3 innings.
Gave up just one hit.
Two runs possible, two runners on the basepaths going to be responsible for him as well.
Well, we say that it is the second second visit this inning.
No, they had a, uh, yeah, there it goes.
OK, you're right.
So we will have the new picture when we come back.
As you're watching this Centennial Bank State baseball championships in Arkansas, PS4.

You know, I think sports are really big to a lot of people, and because it is an important part of our fabric in our community and the one good thing about what I've seen is its high quality production.
You know, you think of the small communities all over Arkansas.
It's a big deal that they can turn on the TV or DVR or whatever and they're going to quality product.
And so I think it just expands the focus of what PBS is doing in Arkansas.
PBS is doing a great job and I think it's part of education.
Your new picture for the.
Springdale Harber Wildcats is Tyler Ridley, who comes in with a 70 record.
He's at 66 strikeouts this year and a 1.06 ERA.
And that is the picture that will replace Cooper Dosset.
Pretty good numbers to be able to pull out of your pin.
Obviously probably been a starter for majority of the season for the Wildcats.
You gotta pull out all the stops here and more importantly gotta find a way to shut down this ending with no further damage.
Has Rodgers has benefited from base on ball after base on ball and two wild pitches allowed two runs to score.
So that'll bring up no good shield to the plate.
Go back in the second inning he walked.
With or is it first and second in two hours here in the third?
Curveball misses.
So Dawson is going to stay in the game as the designated hitter, but he's been lifted as a pitcher.
Courtesy of Mr Walter William.
Here's the 10 James Jump is at the knees called a strike.
Two outs bottom third inning two nothings our school.
Here's the 11.
Fastball this is outside.
Come in and throw strikes.
Been the biggest issue so far for this hardware pitching staff.
Obviously dassett he walks for two and 2/3 innings of work.
21 curveball in the dirt.
Three in one.
Can you give a lot of credit services Rogers hitters on state championship game you want to go up there swinging the bat, but they've been patient.
They've made the harbor pictures to strikes and they haven't been able to do it consistently yet.
31 is a fastball right down Broadway.
Brings it full at three and two.
Well, water is going to be in motion now.
So anything into the outfield should score at least one one through the gap could push across 2.
Turned out to be a pretty night here in Benton.
Ritu's account.
And it's in there called strike three, a great pitch on the Black 81.
I'm able to come in and get out of the jam.
Well, Rodgers opens up the scoring here in the 3rd and they scored two runs.
Only get one base hit.
There were no errors in the field to left on.
We head to the top of the fourth inning, where the Mounties they lead it to nothing.
And you're watching the Centennial Bank State Baseball championships on Arkansas PBS sports.

I I told him not to come up here and take pictures we didn't need that for people see, well, you know to be quite honest, there probably are too many UCA bears floating around here there are.
I mean, I'm just happy to know that Arkansas PBS Sports employs a lot of UCA grads.
It really do I I I want to thank Ed for forgetting all those including pleasure and everybody involved.
Forgetting UCA grads at Arkansas, CBS Sports.
They might want to branch out a little bit.
Here's the first pitch swung on five.
Three put out of Josh rolling.
Excuse me not, that's Cooper Dawson and really nice thrill, thereby allowing fires across and retires the designated hitter.
So now Drew McClendon comes up.
He flied out to right field back in the second inning.
Columbia.
Jackson Wells for Rogers back on the mound as.
Fires in the pitch to McClendon, which is going to be careful called a strike.
No one's on the way.
Curveball inside misses, and it's one in one start to see a few more catchers.
Marcotte included there Go dancer, almost laying on the ground with old school, Benito Santiago style will Salvador Perez with the Royals is kind of adoptive late.
Molina the Cardinals with curved wall.
It's a bird count two and one might be a ball if he catches it cleanly, that might have been a strike, yeah?
Do nothings underscore Rogers on top of Harbor as one of the top of the fourth inning.
Where is the fastball?
Pump down inside corner.
Bring it two and two still good velocity from Jackson Wells that went in at 87.
As a picture, you always want to come back to that.
Shut down eating after the team gives you a lead.
Bass promises loan away brings account, pull it three and two.
We talked about command with Dawson Command with Wells is kind of an issue as well.
He's already walked forward.
3 balls, two strikes.
Here's a *****.
Turbo swing on Mezey dropped it and I'll throw it to first for his second out.
3rd Strike out there for Wolves.
Now, Ross Felder comes to the plate.
He walked back in the second inning.
I will say that Jackson Wells.
Seems like he's gotten more comfortable with the games going on.
And he's adapted a little bit better to the strike, so certainly working much quicker when no one on base.
This is the first time he's faced back to back batters, though in this contest with no one on base.
First pitch to Ross Felder's.
Alpine in tight.
Hand so that will bring the counter.
Wanna know?
Fastball, swan, and found right back into the net account to one in one.
We're all spelled with a 7 hole hitter for Springdale Harbor.
Talked about it earlier that he's headed to the University of Arkansas to play baseball.
11 pitches in there called a strike.
Bring count 1-2.
Hey, certainly picks up.
We talked about it a few times already, but nobody on the base pass for wells.
He goes to work.
Two outs here in the top of the fourth.
Of course they say that they can't decide on what pitch he wants to throw.
Here's Jackson Wells, with the pitch swung on and missed and he goes 123 here the 4th.
The best inning so far for Jackson Wells as we head to the bottom of the fourth inning, Rogers to harbor nothing.

So the Mounties are back at the plate as Josh lying is at the plane.
An first pitch comes in there by Tyler Ridley called Ball and so that brings account.
Wanna know?
Logging back in the second inning struck out looking.
Well, it fouled off on the harbourside.
Ridley did a nice job coming in that lasted and getting strikeout to get out of the jam.
We'll see what he can do so far is working from a clean slate.
One ball one strike.
There's a change up at 81 that misses high.
Which counts two and one.
Here's the two one's wanna Miss Curveball.
Outside brings account 22 good late movement on that.
This ***** straight down come in at 74 nice change of pace.
It really shouldn't be all that surprising rambled office CRA earlier, less than two curveball popped up on the back of the dirt at second base, and that's the first down.
And that will bring up Finley Bunch.
Now the 8 hole hitter for the Mounties, who struck out back in the second inning.
IPhone friendly bunch.
First pitch is swung on and fouled.
And so that will bring the count to 11.
Tyler Ridley, shown coming in relief he's not afraid to attack the strike zone, doesn't throw quite as hard as Dawson.
He looks like he's going to sit in the low 80s, is that?
But attempt those files so the change of velocity change the bat speed there for Rogers and.
Maybe affect them just enough where he could maybe settle in.
So O2's account with one out here in the bottom of the fourth inning?
Is that once found back?
We saw this in his first at bat, the Finley Bunch.
Even though he struck out, he made Dos at work a lot of late swings just to get the barrel on the ball.
Foul it off to live to fight another pitch.
He fell down O2 in his first at bat and battled all the way back to a full count before he went down on strikes.
So if you can battle back in here against Ridley.
By the way, we started this game at Silver at 7:05.
We are now an hour and 24 minutes in as.
2 pitches swung on and.
He strikes him out, so that's the second out here in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Not a lot of pace to it.
Lot of baserunners lot of pick moves.
A lot of walks, long advance the recipe for a longer baseball game.
Ridley's come in and done exactly what you want him to do, face three batters.
He retired three, so JT Melson is at the plate.
He's the only mounted.
That's gotta hit tonight.
As the first curveball is up high for ball.
He got that hit back in the third inning.
Letter came around to score the first run for the mountains.
As a change up, Mrs Outside brings account to know.
I'm in the fourth inning.
Two outs.
Mounties lead to nothing as the two approaches high.
It's account three now.
Here's the three.
Oh, it's a pine he walks in.
The last thing you wanted to do if you're Tyler Ridley walked the 9 hole.
Allow Rogers not only a baserunner, but the top of the line that's come back up to the plate.
So Eli Marcotte comes to the plate.
Maison, for one with a sack, struck out back in the first inning.
Fastball sales high.
Wanna know?
For Kimball jumped up out of his stance there, almost expecting a stolen base attempt.
From Nelson here's a curveball.
Applied Mrs tuineau.
Was returned the first three batters he faced.
Ridley thrown six straight out of his own.
2 balls, no strikes as a curveball in there for a strike, and it's two and one.
I don't forget coming up tomorrow.
We start baseball action at 10:00 AM.
Breakfast in baseball.
As to a baseball game between South Side Bee Branch in Woodlawn, takes place and it's 21 Swan domestic Things account two and two.
Soccer fires up tomorrow as well and the weekend to champions.
Two more northwest Arkansas schools going to battle it out for the 6A Girls title.
Bentonville, West, and Fayetteville.
More footy action.
Here's the two 2 runner Giles Ball gets past the catcher.
Thanks again three and two in advance is JT Melson's second base.
No soccer getting ready to go tomorrow and.
If you've not ever been out here to Benton.
The facilities are really neat because the football stadium, which is also the soccer facility.
And then you've got baseball and softball all right here together in a big Sports Complex.
Prenate buy one ticket.
You can watch sports for three different games, baseball, softball, soccer, spend all day out here.
3 balls, two strikes.
You are more cut her false one.
Back up the box.
Second here, the ball game where they sent him home here comes across the plate and I gotta tell you right up the line.
Great throw by the Center Theatre group.
McClendon, a little up the line with plenty of a vlocity plenty almetal throw from McClendon and gunned down the runner with plenty to spare.
He's out by 5 or 6 steps.
Kimball able to apply the tag and Harbor gets out of the inning.
So for Harbor no runs, one hit.
We left on we head to the top of the pathetic units for Rogers.
That is where you're watching the Centennial Bank State Baseball championships on Arkansas.

We head to the top of the fifth anywhere.
Rogers leads Harbor two to nothing.
I'm RJ Hawk along with Bobby Swofford.
And Jackson Wells brings himself back onto the.
Mound after having a really impressive fourth inning.
And Bobby, I get me impressed with what he's done so far in this one because he struggle little bit early on.
But he's really kind of gained composure and has done well, yeah, you mentioned by far the best ending of work the last time out.
123 for the first time today.
The first time he faced more than two banners back to back without a runner on base.
He just looked a lot more comfortable with no one on the base path.
He's able to focus on the batters box and went to work and now he's got a 2 nothing lead.
And of course if you're Rogers and you're that coaching staff, want to find a way to.
To duplicate that bottom of the order coming up for Harvard and then you find yourself in the late innings with the lead, here's Cade Ratcliffe at the plate fastballs gonna hit him, talk him up, and then it happens every time.
Now the curse is real.
So Kate and Ross will come to the plate now after walking back in the third inning.
Ann Harbor's got a runner at first base atop the fifth inning.
2 Nothing Rogers on top of Harbor ever think that you can't speak something into existence?
Watch a sporting event and listen to what they say every time.
Well, you don't Razorback broadcaster Phil Elson.
He and I we we did a lot of Arkansas Traveler games today together.
And he he's under the mindset and you can follow him on Twitter.
And he believes this that.
It's OK to speak into existence.
A no hitter, you know somebody's talking.
You can really talk about it as that pitch goes in there for a ball, but you can freely talk about if a picture is throwing a no hitter, he's got a perfect game.
Things of that nature because he believes there is no such thing as an announcer jinx.
Yeah, I. I, on the other hand, it's amazing.
Phil still has a job to be honest.
Well, and you'll find a manager you know I don't feel it's called a lot of games and travelers and the Razorbacks press one of those managers haven't said you know what.
How about you don't call our games anymore, but you know what's funny is that when he was with the travelers is throws over and he's safe.
It was two mindsets because there was a manager.
I'll never forget that this is one of my first years.
There was a manager that they also did not believe in.
The broadcaster Jinx did not believe in the player Jinx and freely talked about it as the.
2 pitches in there called.
Call it snowball three, but the manager openly talked about if a kid had a know know, know going into the ball game.
Now, on the flip side, a couple years later, a new manager comes in.
He was the complete opposite.
Here's 30 and it misses outside now.
We have a hit by pitch.
And now walk is Radcliffe's going to 2nd and Kate and Ross will go to 1st.
Wells five walks one hit batter.
And really, any trouble that he's had to pitch around have been self inflicted.
Yeah, you're exactly right.
And so now Springdale harbors back to the top.
The lineup is animals going to be up, but not until they have a meeting on the mound.
As pitch counts up there 68 through just four innings of work.
Matt Milson's out there brought the infield in to talk and.
I don't imagine he's going to.
He's going to pull him right now, but.
I would imagine you're just going over the the situation at this point.
Now that you've got runners at 1st and 2nd.
But a lot of this conversation is 1.
What you're going to do situation like you talk about two.
Just tell your picture settled down like they haven't hit you yet.
They have two hits in four innings, but they've had a ton of baserunners, 'cause we put them on base.
Get five walks, another hit batter.
Just find a way to to throw it over the plate and then make them beat you.
It's easier said than done.
We're not out there.
60 feet and six inches away from home plate trying to throw baseball over.
Piece of hardened rubber.
Devils at the plate.
He had a single back in the first and walked in the third.
Why is it first and second?
No outs top to 5th?
As they look to throwback to 2nd probably if you notice.
The left builders playing more to the left field line.
There is a massive gap in between left and center and there's a big hole in the left side of the infield as well.
As a shortstop, Good Shield, try to keep that runner close.
Just out of view of the camera, there are centerfield shot.
Ann for Animal and this is a guy on the season that's hitting 312.
He's had a Triple A home run this year.
Basketball is going to get underneath the catcher Waters gonna head to 3rd man.
So now you've got runners on the corners.
Call that wanna pass ball.
Here from the official score, both runners advance.
Now things are really dicey.
It is Roger's squad.
He's got a 2 nothing lead.
You know it is interesting when you play on turf.
The fact when you get a pass ball instead of going grabbing it and throwing, you slide to the ball because you can slide on the turf.
To different game, specially for the infielders baserunners.
Here's the 10 fastball in there for a strike, and we're talking about how the soccer finals are tomorrow.
Normal, they play the finals.
The University of Arkansas, like the other sports, but they're going to play on turf field tomorrow, so that's a different game, even though most of the high school set to the large school level are used to playing soccer on a turf field.
11's account with runners on the corners.
Your swan and found out a play.
You don't think of your things changing that much because of the playing surface, but it really does.
But it's so much better when it's debatable you know.
Some people like that old school tradition of playing on grass and dirt, well, you know, like earlier today, when we had the five eight game, it rained for a little bit.
We had a minor delay.
It had that game and played at the University of Arkansas.
We would have had an hour delay for 15 minutes.
Yeah, you're right.
There are some pluses and minuses of both.
Therefore, called strike three the great pitch on the black.
And as much as we've talked about the wildness of wells, he's been able to come back and then pitch around it.
How many number 19 left now for Jenkins comes up.
He walked back in the third inning.
You got on because of the fielder's choice in the 1st.
Throw the first he's back safely.
And honestly, when you think about the turf.
You wouldn't think that would really affect the soccer game as much as it would with, say, baseball, but it's just, you know, a ball is going to roll through, but it's also going to roll farther 'cause there's less resistance.
Here's the first pitch.
It's found out of play down the right field side.
I like how.
Earlier in the broadcast, maybe that was earlier today we were saying that you were not very good with science classes, and now you're talking about resistance and and force, you know?
Have lanes I don't want to stay in mine and when the veer outside of that.
Balls one strike.
Curveball chop, bow down the third base side, established earlier.
We've got it running total that math, geography, and science are not my wheelhouse.
Ancient alien theory is however in my wheelhouse, so if you'd like to discuss that and I'll ring the later on, we could do so.
No, that's we could.
We could really dive into that.
You heard they came out and said there UFOs are real.
Well, it was a question, but.
Saw that on the news the other night they said the Coast Guard, seeing unidentified flying object objects earlier today, we solve an beards.
Gilreath put a UFO out in orbit.
Good monster shot of a home run.
True, here's the 02 swing on a Miss Mrs High Heat.
Catcher wanted up, he threw it up and blew it right past Clark Jenkins with six strikeouts.
Jackson Wells is dealing right now after allowing two guys on one hit by pitch.
One walked.
He's come back with back to back strikeouts.
Or eastern standard.
And we've said it probably two or three times already worked himself into a jam, but now just one out away from getting out of it.
First pitch is a changeup low.
It's a good offspeed pitch there on the outside corner to start off.
Ethan Fender doesn't get the benefit of the call, but.
Really good pitch.
2 ounces were in the top, the 5th.
Not much of a lead over there at first by Cayden Ross, who knows he can't afford to get himself picked off the runner standing at 3rd.
He's a fastball that was able to catch that outside corner to bring count to 1 and one.
Big spot for harbor learning scoring position.
One one is a curveball.
It hits the dirt.
21's account I strap my marcott to keep that one in front.
Knocks down the ball in the dirt.
Prevents those runners from advancing Ethan Fenders at the plant.
The Arkansas State commitment struck out back in the 1st and flew to center in the.
Third inning.
Here's the pics.
It's one found back, even counted two and two.
Most just two and two will see if they want to put Ross in motion there at first with two outs.
Try to give him a chance to school on something again.
That's a well.
Dude, what's wrong?
Count three and two.
Crowd is not happy about that one.
Yeah, Wells was walking towards his dugout.
He wanted that call on pitch number 80.
Now the full count roster is going to be on the move from first.
Ritu's on the way.
It's up I.
He's gonna walk now they've got bases loaded.
Good grip on that potential breaking ball.
Take.
#6, drawn by this Rogers Office and now the bases excuse me for Harbor now the bases are loaded for their cleanup hitter.
Pitt State commit Brock Campbell and so far today Brock Kimball is over two.
He flied to left field back in the 2nd, and he struck out in the third.
Campbell on the years at 337 hitter with 18 RBI.
Big big spot for Harbor one swing of the bat can not only give them a lead and all the momentum in this contest.
Well, they're trying to go with little trickeration right there, where.
They thought that they were the pick move that fake like they were thrown into the outfield, like it was an overthrow and pitcher held onto it.
Good heads up play by.
Kate and Ross at second base.
Car little shenanigans.
Hidden ball tricks work sometimes, sometimes it doesn't.
Here's a fastball inside corner called a strike.
Or you could just do that.
No.
What worked for it?
When you get a cheap one?
Loss for life.
Through actually comes to working, I like to do that.
No one's account.
Here's the pitch fastball outside corner Colstrip two outs here in the top of the fifth.
This is on the way curveball up high.
Well good, it's one and two yeah, well too much late movement on that one started North of the zone.
Really no chance of dipping down into the strike zone over the plate.
Bases juiced here the tablet 5th with two ounce 1/2's on the way.
Write down Broadway for strike three and just like that, Jackson will look at him.
He's excited guy with Jam.
He needed a big pitch and he paints one right on the outside corner strikes out the side.
Had to work for it though, but avoids the damage.
We're headed to the bottom of the fifth inning.
Rogers to harbor nothing, you're watching.
The Centennial Bank State Baseball Championships on Arkansas PBS sports.
I think it's important for Arkansas PBS to have sports because it provides sports on a greater platform to the entire community, and it also gives people in various other communities an opportunity to see other schools and other athletes and to have a greater appreciation for not just their own community, but the sports that are available across the state of Arkansas.
There are so many lessons that sports provides and it's one of the reasons why it's so important to the next generation of athletes coming up.

That's called humidity around light right there with all the bugs flying.
Yeah, it's like the rain came earlier today and.
Well, hot right now.
Seven runners left on base by the Wildcats not taking advantage of the opportunities they are given.
And that's why Rodgers has got a 2 nothing lead as we are now in.
Officially, the late innings, so Rogers is at the plate and they will bring up Jackson Wells, Kate, Seldom Ridge and Time Frakes.
As the first pitch is called a strike to Jackson Wells.
Yeah, remember if you're new to high school, baseball wants a lot of it.
Seven innings.
So technically, the fifth inning would be the start of the late inning, so when we do the stretch as the curve ball hits the inside corner, it's account so into you little older like me.
You do the stretch every couple things start stretching in the 2nd, 4th, get up you wander around.
Aimlessly usually.
Here's the O2 pitch appy.
Go back to the last half inning that was just a great pitch by wells to get out of that jam bases.
Loaded heat pumps one right across the outside corner.
Here's the one to swallow and lift it out to right center.
Going over the centerfielder McClendon, he makes the catch for.
The first time you know that.
Really seems like it seems like the law for the first time we've seen the ball put in play.
Been seeing that a whole lot.
Yeah, it's pretty quiet day with great job on McClendon.
There had a long way to run.
They will track that one down in pretty easily, but you're exactly right.
It has been a lot of balls put in play.
So Kate seldom Rich comes up over 2 flag right in the first and struck out in the third.
And the first pitch joins outside.
13 combined strikeouts.
There is a curveball outside goes to another.
11 combine walks.
22 balls, no strikes.
There's a change up on the outside corner called a strike brings account two and one.
Here's the two.
One pitch well lifted, high to right field.
You kiss a goodbye.
World without 320 markers.
If you're parked out in the parking lot behind right field, do not need a new windshield.
That was a no Downer blockade.
Seldom Ridge.
I think that what they referred to the moon shot that there was your UFO right there.
Nothing was put into orbit.
1 swing of the Bat and Rogers takes advantage and adds nearly.
What's the third base hit?
And we gave Rodgers and it comes with a big momentum swing, right field.
Little question that was going to clear.
The only question was by how much?
Hi Frank, so now type brakes come to the plate.
He's been hit by the pitch and walked so far.
I would still on looking out the left, going to the Power alley left, center and make the catch.
Where they fell down the lawsuit and so breaks is going to go in to second base.
McClendon had to run along the way for that to see what the official score is.
They do call it a hit.
Couldn't make the place secure.
The catch back to back extra base hits for the Mounties.
Watch the replay here 'cause that was another long run.
I'd almost say it's an air initially, gave it a hit.
Goodnight consonant, that's my point that should be made, though.
Official score it is a hit.
It's whether the official scores and we're not or the.
First pitch it's a ball.
4th in the ball game for the Mounties.
Now they're going to have a meeting at the mouth.
Tyler Ridley I thought this was over.
As making his way out to the mound for Harbors doesn't help camp the head coach.
For the Wildcats.
Play back to back.
Hits you've got the home.
Run the right field and then.
You go 320 down the right field line, which you went way farther than that, but then you go 355 left center.
2 by far the two hardest hit baseballs for either squad.
Yeah for sure, up to this point.
Rogers starting to tee off on Ridley a little bit.
That's probably this.
Conversations about settle your picture down.
Nobody up in the bullpen for Harbor, so it's going to be all Ridley if the new mega change it would be someone that's on the field already.
He's still just three, nothing.
If it feels like it's really spiraled out of control for Harbor, but this game is well within reach.
So that brings up the plate.
Carson Uecker, who struck out back in the second, then walked in the third.
Here's the one home change up.
This is high.
Two hours at the counter euchre.
Asphalts one he lost the handle bat it went all the way into.
Rogers dugout.
Right down the middle, what time will say someone swung out of their shoes but?
That time you could smoke out of his back.
Now we just came flying out, lost control of his bottom hand and see the poor kid back in the replay he saw the he saw the bat fly out his Facebook.
Oh wow.
That's when you're thankful for the protective netting as well.
So here's another look at it, whoa.
Poor kid didn't know what was going on.
Where is the two one?
Fastball hit at the knees is 2/2.
Pitch their only outer third.
Can you back to an even count?
He calls two strikes.
Here's the pitch.
As well, Mrs. Outside go 3 into.
Here's the three two inside corner gold strike, three backed up a little bit.
You Chris thought he had a free pass, but instead the empire starts the old chainsaw and ring him up.
Rogers face will not a huge fan of that.
Call it was a good call that was clearly a strike.
So now no good shield comes to the plate.
He walked back in the second inning and struck out looking back in the third.
First pitch is swung on and missed where that was a big uppercut swing right there and chased one around the shoulder blades.
Well, you don't want somebody hits home run that's contagious.
Absolutely.
At least swinging hard is.
Here's the old one.
Ask for Mrs outside.
This is impatient.
I think that's the biggest thing I've taken away from Rogers in this contest.
There are patient at the plate.
They are going to make Harbor consistently throw strikes, put a lot of pressure on the pitch count, put a lot of pressure on the man on the mound.
11 is gonna catch the outside corner of that time.
Bring count 1-2 Ridley's done a nice job.
He's living on that outside edge.
That outer third.
And more times than not, he's been able to hit it.
One ball 2 strikes.
Add spelled off.
That shield had to protect their, but chased one well out of the zone.
Lucky to get it get a piece.
Two outs that were in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Rogers chasing that first ever state championship.
Hard to believe the school it's been around as long as they have and as many good players as they've had.
1/2 is gonna mess outside.
Came with a 75 mile mile an hour offspeed pitch.
Rogers Heritage had a chance to win one maybe a decade or so ago.
Keith Kilgore LED squad that Headhunter would wanna Blankenship's were on that squad.
In the big leagues these days, here's the two two.
It's popped up the center field.
Mcclendon's on his way over to make the catch and they get out of the inning.
So for the Mounties, they get the big home run to score one run off of two base hits, and as we head to the top of the sixth inning, it's Rogers 3 Harbor.
Nothing, you're watching the Centennial Bank State Baseball championships in Arkansas.
PBS sports.
Stop the sixth inning we go is Rogers leads it three to nothing.
Over harbor.
Wildcats have had plenty of baserunners just have not been able to push one across against Jackson.
Wells, 7 left on base for harbor.
7 strikeouts.
Pitch count that 85 she held deep.
You wanna go?
Well.
Tell you what you, you wonder Jackson Wells is is done and they just keep coming back and he's he's getting out of innings.
He is getting out of innings, that is, that is a good way to describe it.
He is causing a jam and getting out of said jam.
Mention the seven strikeouts with six walks and another hit batter so he's given 7 free passes.
But no runs in the.
Come on that matters most.
Fastball is going to miss outside.
So it's 101. Cooper Dawson as change up Mrs outside to go to him.
Dallas it on the day.
And a single back in the second inning groundout third base over the 4th.
Two older swan and mist.
Too good rip their my Dawson.
At times you'll see batter sitting too and I would take one, but you can get cheated on that hack.
Two underscore or two ones are counting that one's fouled back.
Rodgers leads this one three nothing.
This one cleaning.
Have worked for Jackson Wells.
Is this pitch upcoming is going to be #90?
This day 22's account pitch on the way, swung on, popped up right side.
Back behind first base and the catch is made.
Time for it, right there to pull it in first out here in the 6th.
Calling the hogs.
I think it's because the hogs are last time I checked they were up 6/1.
Recruited.
So that would make sense.
As the first pitch to group McClendon is fouled back to Earth, count on one.
One out top the sixth inning.
Rogers leads Harbor 3 nothing.
Correct or consulted?
This win.
Usually whenever you hear the honk all wherever you are, that that is a good sign that something positive has happened with the university.
It varies.
It could have been mocking Dorset there.
He's committed to play at Arkansas and then popped out.
Here's the old one swung on, popped up high on the infield.
Coming over is going to be good shield.
Shortstop position makes the catch for the second out.
Quick work here by Jackson Wells and we've said it a few times and there's no one on the basepaths.
He works pretty quick.
Works pretty efficient.
Can finish off a second one.
Two three inning in the last three frames.
The announcer curve here we're going to see if we can get it done, but of course those guys in the powder Blues are going to try to prevent that rosfeld's at the plate walked back in the third, struck out in the fourth.
Extremely second four files that one back.
Wells attacking that strike zone.
So here's the old one, swung on fouled back.
His account 02.
LA City still there for Wells that one touched 85.
I've been sitting mid to upper 80s for most of the evening.
Here's the O2 pitch fastball.
Mrs Lowe.
Bring that one up at 87 so the velocity is not the issue.
Is he still 95 pitches tonight?
So there's two outs here in the top of the sixth inning.
Only six collective hits for both these teams in this one lot of strikeouts.
Here's the 1/2 song on found back.
Just did stay alive.
Did Ross felder.
His line scores.
Pretty similar to everybody else tonight, walked once and he struck out once.
So 1/2's account.
Here's wells with pitch curveball inside Mrs Ann, it's two and two.
2 balls, two strikes as Jackson Wells eyes into get his sign.
Here's the two two swing on out the 2nd and it's going to go off his glove in the right field.
I would you know it's it's been a conversation we've had.
I would say that would be an error, but 'cause it was globe side and they're going to Scorton air.
Will be the tough play, but probably a play that needs to be made by a friendly bunch.
Go into his left glove side and this kicks off the heel of his glove.
And prevents that 123 and so.
Now Kate Ratcliffe comes through plate.
He grounded out back in the second inning.
To the shortstop and then.
He was hit by a pitch in the 5th.
First pitch to him is a fastball outside.
As throwover safe.
Where it this will be pitch #104 Jackson wells.
Here's the 10 fastball in there for a strike.
11's on the way, fastball in there for strike two.
Alright, first base for Springdale Harbor.
Here's one too short on a missed.
Break them out.
And once again, Jackson Wells gets out of the inning.
We had to the bottom of the sixth setting where the Mounties of Rogers, a leading three to nothing.

Back here in Benton, as we are winding this thing down where the bottom of the sixth inning where the goose egg is still up for harbor, you can support your team and join the conversation on social media.
Just use the hashtag.
AARP BS sports.
Launch lying, it's gonna be first up for Rogers Mounties.
It'll go 789.
His first pitch is in there for a called strike.
Just underway here in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Tyler Ridley came back out to start the 6th.
As the.
Curveball was found off the leg of Josh Lawing.
Cramps up on that one, so it went right off his ankle.
That Prescott Cramp when he found it off it you could see it come off the tank and he immediately like oh boy.
It's OK and rub some dirt always around turf.
Otuz account here's the pitch by Ridley swung on and missed.
And so that's going to do it for long here.
In the sixth inning.
Now Finley Bunch comes to the plate.
He struck out both times he's he's been played today.
4 strikeouts for Tyler Ridley in relief.
He was touched up for the Homer.
In the 5th.
About showing bunt.
They're gonna say it went around.
Body pulled it back he was.
He's working it down the line and.
Anyway, they appealed it down to the third base UMP.
He said he did go around so it's on one.
Here's O2 and it's a strike.
If you swung at it now, so too.
Ridley definitely picking up the pace as far as just delivery to the dish.
Trying to get his office to the plate one more time and see if they can scrap something together in the top of the seventh.
Try to extend this.
Here's the O2 as changeup missed outside.
Rogers so far in three runs four hits in an error.
For Harbor, no runs, two hits, no errors out when swung on Luke right to the shortstop and there's two outs.
Write to him.
Learn short rossfeld or little scouting report there lined up perfectly did not even have to move a little pop up now JT Melson is going to come to the plate.
He singled back in the third inning, walked in the 4th.
Was thrown out trying to score back in the 4th on a single to center.
Perfect throw from Drew Mclendon.
Gunning down his pitches.
In the dirt and it's wanna know.
Seems like a long long time ago, but Nelson made a nice diving catch near the foul line.
One nose up.
I was doing this back in the early innings for those two hours ago.
20 pitch is on the way.
Fastball cut the outside corners two and one.
Here's a 21 swung on popped up on the infield.
Over too short an right there to haul it in was filter, and that's going to do it for the six setting.
So we head to the seventh inning, where Rogers leads it three to nothing.

You can experience the action over and over again next week and watch all of the championship games just go to youtube.com/arkansas PBS baseball, softball football basketball at your disposal and get out of working for a few hours.
Just watch some championship games.
What I do at work.
My boss is not listening or watching.
Well, Jackson Wells is going to try to make this a complete game.
He needs story outs and the Rogers Mounties will take home their very first state championship.
They've been in this game five times.
A member of 1 and Jackson Wells is trying to put the hammer to the nail in this one.
So up first for Springdale, Harber is going to be Kate and Ross.
As first pitch is going to be called ball.
There's some discussion of a pitch limit at 1:10.
So unless it's a real quick outing here, Wells may not be able to finish this one once he does hit that 110 mark.
That's the number he will be able to finish the batter but not be able to face another one.
For two hours account.
Here's a *****.
*** could be outside Reno, exactly.
You don't want to do was walk a leadoff hitter in the top of the seventh again, just a seven inning game at the high school level.
And the three oh pitch misses outside, and so that's going to send Kate and Ross to first base just on walks.
The third time he's walked today.
It's called patience, really.
I mean, though he's gotten ahead of.
Jackson Wells every time he's met the plate.
Now, Walker animals at the plate.
As fastball comes in there, Paula strike, top of the order up for Harbor Wildcats, have just two hits though.
Walker IMO had won the very first plate appearance of this game.
How one's account?
Swung on foul play.
You gotta remember that was an infield single.
He did beat out to shortstop.
So only one time has Harbor had a base it to the alpha.
Again, effective wildness on the mound from Jackson Wells.
O2's account with a runner?
First were in the top of the 7th.
Here's the pitch swung on.
It's over too short.
We're going to make the long throws safe.
Another infield single for Emmel.
He's got two of those, but now all of a sudden.
Harbor has something cooking in the top of the seven, two on nobody out.
And that's going to bring up Clark Jenkins, who today got on because of a fielder's choice in the first.
He walked in the third and struck out the 5th.
Runners at 1st and 2nd no outs.
Top of the 7th.
Big move to 2nd and there's no throne.
So the next pitch that Wells Thrones will be #110.
Pitches inside called a ball.
Car Jenkins at the plate volume by Ethan Fender.
Cool players committed to going to Arkansas State.
Here's the 10 up I to know.
Boy that would not be good of Jackson Wells to have to exit this ball game after.
Leaving the base is juice.
Two hours on the way up I furino.
It's going to take all the way you gotta believe for clergy kids here.
This catcher Marcotte's going to go out and talk with him.
Scott delivers something over the plate.
You know, we've said it time and time again.
It's easy from our vantage point, but he's gotta throw strikes, make Harbor show that they can beat you with a bat.
His stuff has been good today when it's been in the strike, so yeah, that's that's the only problem is.
It hasn't been there as consistently as you would like.
And here we are at the top of the 7th and he hasn't given up a run.
So it's not like he's just completely taken it out there and he's dominated with this past.
Yes, here's the 30 fastball.
We've got bases loaded.
So now you've got loss going to 3rd and will go into second Jenkins at 1st and now.
Nobody out with the bases loaded and now Rodgers has got some decision making to do Jack Jackson.
Wells is going to head to.
The dugout will get your next picture for you for the Rogers Mounties as you're watching the Centennial Bank State Baseball championships on Arkansas.

You know, I think sports are really big to a lot of people, and because it is an important part of our fabric in our community and one good thing about what I've seen is its high quality production.
You know, you think of the small communities all over Arkansas.
It's a big deal that they can turn on the TV or DVR or whatever, and they're going to quality product.
And so I think it just expands the focus of what PBS is doing.
You know Arkansas PBS is doing a great job and I think it's part of education.
Well, Maddon Dillard is a new picture for the Rogers Mounties and he is developed a situation that.
We talked to get out of as he's got bases loaded.
No outs in the top of the seventh inning and his team leading.
By a score of three to nothing, and Dillard pitch to the semifinals for Rogers and their win over North Little Rock five innings, three hits, no runs.
Three strikeouts.
Did walk a couple on 88 Pitches's game that Rogers had to hold on when 11 to 7, but he was lights out to start things off and he's gotta try to clean this one up and possibly get the save and give Rodgers the championship.
Is Jackson Wells Day is done.
This line RJ six innings pitched.
Three hits, eight strikeouts.
Eight walks.
No runs as of yet, but is responsible for all three on base, you know, I mean.
It's a good line outside the gate walks.
I mean, that's that's a lot of walks, but I mean it's a good lineman like he got it that way.
Now you don't see a lot of people throwing 110 pitches or 111 pitches.
Anymore these days, yet well stays in the game, he goes over to play third base or faces long.
And then comes the three hole hitter.
Ethan Fender 31 RBI's committed played a states.
So bases or juice go up top the 7th.
Here's Fender.
Florida missed put the string on the first pitch.
Really nice movement on that down it away.
77 on the radar.
At a great pitch.
Coming out of the bullpen.
On the season, Fender has had 31 RBI.
There's no one swung on popped up foul.
Got room in foul territory and Trump's right through the glove of Jake McClain.
You know you look at that and you sure you'd love to get the out.
But not the end of the world that he dropped that fell below.
You're going to score run.
You're going to give up a run at more than likely the runner from second to advance.
The third.
Again, though, with a three run lead you'd probably like to go ahead and Take Me Out.
Yeah, but again, not the end of the world.
That plate was not made.
So talking to now.
Even Fender.
Right versus left the match up.
This ***** a pine outside, wanted to try to sneak up a breaking ball in there.
Just never, never broke.
Kinda flooded outside an easy take.
One ball 2 strikes.
Here's the pitch swung on out to left field at school 11.
Hold the runner third disco station, the station.
But a big base hit by Fender puts harbor on the board.
All the sudden RJ things are all whole lot more interesting than they were just a few minutes ago.
That is thunders 30, second RBI this season.
And it came at a great time.
Is now the cleanup hitter.
Brock Kimball comes to the plate and Kimball the day flew out to left field in the second, struck out in the third, and struck out again in the 5th, both times looking.
Down by two with no outs.
Top of the 7th.
Swan found back.
Just a good piece of that one.
Nice picture or the outer third, but Kimball right on it as far as timing the velocity of it.
No one pitches on the way.
SWAT popped up foul territory.
First baseman Franks is going over there and collects the out.
The big first out there tired the cleanup hitter, Kimble.
The first out of the frame.
Now double play could win Rogers State championship.
Well, here's the deal.
Rock Kimball was a 337 hitter, 18 RBI.
But your 5 hole hitter Cooper Dawson's up and he said four home runs this year, 24 or beyond.
Chief, the lineup for the Wildcats certainly up at the opportune time.
We'll see if Maddon, Dillard, the Rogers lefty.
Get out of this jam.
Is Dillard's pitch swung on chopped a third?
Taken by the third baseman, so for third run scores.
Everybody is safe, so I think it looked like he might have beat the initial play, but the question is was A tag made after the baserunner slid off the base?
The run is going to store either way.
But it looked like he might have slid off the base.
The two players still in contact, but no calls going to be changed to an RBI fielders choice tonight.
Look at the replay.
I mean, it's.
No, he's saying he's safe as he comes off.
The bag tag was not made so good.
Good call there.
Not a field umpire and all of a sudden it is a one run game still with the bases loaded.
Now Drew McClendon is that the plate bases still loaded.
There is a current bonus outside.
All the drama we cut drama here, the top the seven.
That's why we're here.
One else account.
Pitch on the way, swing on a miss good spot there for Dillard.
Until he's trying to stay away from.
The bats of this harbor lineup.
Wanna live on the black?
On one's account.
Here's the pitch missed inside two and one.
Glenda instead of really nice day in the field, they were runner out at home in a couple nice running catch is made him look easy in center field.
21's account.
Here's the pitch swung on found back 22.
Up next, his rossfeld are.
So far, Springdale Harber has set six guys to the plate here at the top, the 7th.
2 balls, two strikes.
Rogers leads Harbor three to two.
Page on the way swore on looking at the left field and the catch is made.
Now here comes to grow up the line.
Weather throughout the play.
That's gonna do it.
And the Rogers Mounties have won their first ever state title.
What a throw from JT Nelson, but more importantly, look at the play from catcher Eli Marcotte.
The throw was well off.
The mark beats the runner mark out, able to make the catch, and then get back into the baseline and tagged out the runner right there.
And gets a state championship for the Mounties.
What a Bang Bang play.
Well, I would say this jinkens.
Coach Health Camp was telling Jenkins to get back and keep his phone back to tag.
He was about 5 feet down the line and then had it retreat and come back.
And so either way, it was a great throw.
From Nelson in the outfield and.
Rogers claims at first ever state championship.
Let's go ahead and take a break when we come back.
After watching this replay real fast look at this.
I mean, you see the catch, tough catch.
So the jump from third like you're talking about RJ not as great as you would have liked, and it's loading down just enough.
But he's able to run right into the tag from Arcots.
Yeah, and the Mounties.
Always you mentioned that their first championship 3/2 your final score.
Rogers wins.
If you think a state championships you think of drama you think of.
You know heart racing action?
You got that one this one here.
It went like that throughout the entire game.
It all happened in the seventh inning and.
The Rogers Mounties are your 2020 high school baseball state championship, which champions Alias 2021 to this.
Yeah, 'cause it's the 2021 season.
We're forgetting that we forgot there wasn't one last 2020 did not happen.
So 21 baseball state champions and look at him, boy, they earned this one.
They did, you know.
Anna Harper had chances in this game.
The first six innings they left eight on base.
Yeah, they leave 10 on base for the entire contest and.
Harbor continued to have runners on base, but Jackson Wells continued to pitch around at pitch around it, eventually hit his pitch.
Maximum left.
The bases loaded had to rely on his bullpen and harbor able to scratch across a couple of runs, but that final play.
Just first, the cats in the throw by JT Nelson, but I don't think enough credit can be given to their catcher, Eli Marquette, able to track down the throw from left field.
Get back into the baseline.
Tagged out the runner.
And get the victory, Sohu, Sohu you give it to.
I mean, I know that.
There they are, given the tournament MVP right now in the field and for Rodgers.
Can Ross, yeah.
Through three walks scored a run.
There's there saying JT Melson is the tournament MVP, but who you give it your MVP to Bobby?
That's a good question.
I mean, Jackson Wells was really good when he was on, but I don't know if he was consistent enough to be my MVP for the game.
So let's give it to the to that duo that JT Nelson and Eli Marcotte to close the game.
LC-72 putouts very often.
It's even more rare to see a 7 to put out one state championship, and that's exactly what happened for the mountains.
Yeah, and you're exactly right.

There are your 2021 high school baseball state champions in Class 6A.
The Rogers Mounties is headed in impressive fashion.
It was drama all the way to the inbox offer, and we expected it the the two schools that they were really there all season long and the 68 W they split their regular season series and it came down to the final out.
It came down to the final matter.
What you expected?
Probably not as clean of a game as we probably would have liked to seen or expected from these two squads.
Lot of walks, a lot of guys left on base, especially on the harbor side.
But then the.
End of the day, I think the better team who played today, one today because Rogers took advantage of a few opportunities they had early in the game and Harbor was unsuccessful in their opportunities.
Rogers, they moved to 23 and 7 Springdale Harber falls to 25 and 9 on the season, but nothing.
I mean both these teams had outstanding seasons and just the fact that you think about the roads to get here, you know had to go through Bryant, that being harbor and Ann just just see everything to get to this point.
Both these two teams.
It was fun game to watch.
It really was.
I mean these these two teams just really impressed.
I mean the patience at the plate for Rogers is really what jumped out to me the most.
The ability to draw eight walks in a game is impressive.
'cause you get it.
You want.
You get to this stage of state of a state championship and you want to get up there and swing the bat and and try to put your team in position to win the fact that they were able to stay patient at the plate and find a way to to get guys on base.
Put a little extra pressure on the pitching staff from Harbor.
That was key.
And they were able to scratch across a couple of runs.
Of course, the solo home run, which ends up being the difference.
Well tomorrow.
Big Day of baseball, softball, soccer.
And I'll get started right here in Arkansas.
