And guess what, tonight we've got Michelle Norwood.
Hello to you.
- Hello.
- It's a pleasure to have you back.
- It's such a joy to be here.
Thank you.
- Awesome, awesome.
How have you been?
- We've been amazing.
It's been a wonderful year for us.
- Great, great, great.
Now you are from where?
We always like to ask that.
- I'm from Geraldine, Alabama.
- Geraldine, Alabama.
Now tell us, for some of those who are not well traveled, what is that close to that we might know?
- Geraldine is in DeKalb County.
So we are about 15 miles from Fort Payne.
- Fort Payne.
All right, do you're up north?
- Yes, sir.
- All right.
Is that where you were born?
- It is.
It's where I was born and raised.
- Okay, church, you go to church up in that area?
- We do.
We are members at Rainsville First Baptist Church.
- Been there a long time?
- Yes, sir.
We've been there about eight years.
- Eight years.
You sing in the choir there, do you have time?
- I am on the praise team, yes, sir.
- On the praise team.
So, you know, I have to, that's a good observation, 'cause a lot of churches don't have choirs now.
- Right.
- But you're on the praise team.
- Yes, sir.
- So how long you've been singing, traveling singing?
- Well, I sang my first solo when I was three years old.
- Couple of years ago.
- Yeah, the people have to just tell me to hush sometimes.
(George laughing) - I love it.
I love it.
Well, let me take a moment to say we are very excited.
Now this show is gonna air later, but you are honored by my wife's ministry, which is Mission Hugs, I should say you and Hunter.
- Yes.
- And we gonna get Hunter up here when we get ready to close out, 'cause we gotta have him up and say hello to him.
- Yes.
- When I first met you, you were introduced to us by Regina Lee, and she told us you gotta have this young lady on, and her son has ice cream truck.
I thought that was the most unique thing.
So tell us quickly, you gave me the story.
How did that come about?
- So our son, Hunter, has down syndrome, and he is now 23.
But when he was approaching adulthood, I had prayed often about what God would do to open up a job opportunity for him.
And God gave us an ice cream truck.
It's called A Little Something Extra Ice Cream.
And we use it as a training tool for other individuals who are differently abled.
- And that's beautiful.
That's beautiful.
And I want you to know, I've been working on something.
You told me a desire that Hunter had early on.
I don't want to go into it too deep, but I told my wife, I said, "That hit me, and I'm gonna try to talk to some of these educational folk, and see if something very special can come of that."
- Thank you.
- So we'll talk about it.
- We're excited.
- Okay?
I don't wanna have no secret with the people, We're excited.
I don't wanna have no secret with the people, but something very special for Hunter - Thank you.
- All right, well, listen, that first song was awesome.
I love that song.
I love that song.
And we wanna hear a couple of more before you go, okay?
- I'm happy to do it.
- All right, then.
