From France a violin worthy of a concert stage created by a 3d printer.
3Dvarious I wanted three years ago to create my own electric version, something different to play more, with a more powerful sound with a more iconic design.
I played differently because I use a lot of effects.
And if you want the effects to sound great you have to play different, it's like classic guitar and electric guitar you have not the same way of playing, but you can play classic also with the same position of the finger and we keep all the mandatory things in order for you to be as much comfortable as you can and play as the same way as your classical violin.
This is the first violin Phillip printed in the one single piece, so the sound is better because we have no joint, no different part is assembled to create the violin so the sound can travel freely in the body of the violin.
The printer works during 24 hours, one whole day, and is just five percent of the total process.
We print the violin and then we sand the violin, we paint it, we protect against humidity against sun of course, against temperature, we assemble each part, the pick-up , the strings, the tuning decks and then we set the violin for each violinist.
This violin is an exact copy of my classical violin but in electric so each 3Dvarious is different.
But we use 3D printing technology because of its strength, because of its shape and because its better, not because it's cheap because we use a very big machine which is two meters- two meters, two meters and the biggest thing it can produce is this violin, nothing bigger and this machine costs one million dollars.
So we use 3D printing technology because it is great not because it is cheap.
But with this technology you have the only violin in the world which is one single piece but you have to reset to retune your violin exactly the same way as you use your classical violin because we wanted a very light violin and you see everything is empty in the violin, so everything is very thin and when you are thin you have some distortion of course, so you usually have the same way as a classical violin and you have the same sensation and same comfort.
What is written all over it?
I write the French definition, my definition of music.
We met electric violinist so they said it's really easy to play on the violin, really comfortable and we also show the violin to classical violinist from the Deutsche Opera Berlin and they really like it so it's really different from a classical violin, we have no resonances so we can not compare it, but they really enjoy to play on it, they say that maybe they can do something with 3Dvarious in their orchestra, create a new show something really new FOR MORE LOG ONTO 3D-VARIUS.COM
