- Oh my goodness, we have just been blessed being on the road, and of course we were together in May when we were in Fayette, Alabama.
You know, I ran into you out there.
So we've just been blessed to be on the road, and working for the Lord, and we're looking forward, we're getting ready to do a brand new recording project.
So yeah, we've been working on some songs, and writing some songs for that.
Most of what we do, we write our songs so- - I love it, I love it.

Now, you know, I always say to my nursing home friends, listen, eat a lot, not a whole lot, but eat enough to make sure you get something in you and then do a little exercise.
And I always like to say this, 'cause I know when you are older, you get into people's lives, they get into your life.
You don't want to do what they're telling you to do.
You know how it goes, 'cause you've been telling people what to do all of your life.
Now listen, because they got your best interests at heart.
Okay, it is time now to salute our Golden Vessel on "Alabama Gospel Roots".

The "Alabama Gospel Roots" Golden Vessel Salute, yes, is Reverend C.I.
Parham.
He's the assistant pastor of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born in Green County, that's right.
Married to Mrs.
Suzie Parham for guess what, 65 years.
Reverend, you must be doing something right or Miss Suzie is just letting you get by with a lot of things.
Okay, I know how that goes.
They're the parents of four children.
He's retired from Lynn Strickland Tire Company.
Did a real good job over there and I wish I had known him earlier.
I probably could have gotten me a little hook up with the tires.
He loves to fish and hunt and he loves to talk about Jesus.

I had my son with me, but he's playing football so I'm flying solo today.

Great, but I want to say to our audience that we really do appreciate singers and bringing their ministries to "Alabama Gospel Roots" so you can sit at home and you don't have to pay anything to get in.
