- Yeah, we're in our 29th year as Chosen Witness, just carrying the gospel around, just delivering little three minute sermons in Psalm is what we like to think about.

Olive Baptist Church.

- Not much, just songwriters stuff, but mainly right now.

You have to practice, do you practice often?
- Oh I do.
- Okay, now last time as we get ready to hear some more singing from you, last time I asked you to say something to young people who like to get involved in their singing and their giftings and their crafts, you said something real good, you encouraged them.
So you got anything else to say, to look out there in case some young people sitting around saying, "oh she's on television.
I'd like to do that."
Okay, what does it take?
- It takes a lot of bravery and courage honestly, to get up on a stage and like in front of people and you have to really work through that.
So like don't stop, just keep going honestly.
It's hard but you'll get through it.
- Okay, don't stop, unless you can't sing or play at all.

- I thought so, 'cause that's the home of, one of the great gospel quartet singers and well, a lot of great quartets singers there.

Do you sing full time or you- - We're singing full time, we went full time two years ago.
- Okay and how's that been for you?
- Trusting God all the way.

- All right, it comes so effortless until sometimes we forget that it is not a given gift.

- We have a guy that writes our songs for us.
- Okay.
- One of the songs we sang today, well, all of the songs we sang today we had input into, but whentheysee me, we sat down with our writer in the corner booth of a barbecue spot in Spartanburg.
- What's the name of the of the barbecue spot?
- Southern Barbecue.
- I gotta get there.
- 221 and 85.
- All right, alright and so you gave the idea of the song?
- Well we sat down and 45 minutes later we had the song, so.
- That's what I'm talking about.

- And then they tell me, we told him about the different comments we were getting from people and oh you just might as well go sit down and quit and so we told him what kind of input we were getting from people on our, when we were out singing there.
He's like, I got a song for you, so he sat down and wrote that song for us.

So tell us a little bit about what the church has been doing.

I know you enjoy looking over towards me, but we got (speaks indistinctly).
Tell us a little bit about it.
- We've just been having singings and Sunday morning services and Wednesday night Bible study and all those things and so just reaching out, trying to see people saved for the Lord's grace and glory and all praise to him and just thankful for what he's doing.
- Yes sir.
You seeing results?
- Yes sir.
- Great, so do you have like any, where you send people out or they just normally do that individually?
Do you do anything?
Knocking door to door?
- They normally do that a little bit individually and we do some stuff collectively and to say that overtook and out read and so everything's going good.
- Okay, well the deacons have a meeting, so you're doing pretty good.
You'll be around for a little while longer.
- I should be around a little while, starting year four.
- Hey, that's good.

Now, you originally from where?
- Right here, - Right, you're homegrown?
- Homegrown, right here.
- Did you grow up in the Victory Cornerstone?
- I did not actually.
I went to Union Hill Church over on the southwest side of town.
- Okay.
- Yeah, so I drive about five minutes to get to the north side of town.
- Great, now you're married and have children?
- Yes, (indistinct).
- Tell me about it.
- We've been married 26 years.
- Wow.
- We got an 11-year-old little girl.
- Oh, she, listen, sometimes, she's a little girl then when she wants to not be a little girl, she shifts gears on y'all, sure.
- She does, she does.
- Alright and how grade is she in?
- She is in fifth grade.
- What's her name?
- Her name is Rain.
- Rain, okay, Rain, well you got a great dad, Rain and I know you, anytime you ask him for anything you want, he'll go right down in his pocket, come up with it and it is yours and if you have been able to do it before then Brother George is telling you that, that's the way, he told me, he whispered to me and I did like that and he said, "Anything Rain wants, she can have."

- Dallas, Georgia.

- Originally I lived in Dawson, Alabama, which is maybe about 30 minutes away from here.
- Mh-hmm, away from?
Where we are, as a matter of fact, we are in Arab, Alabama.
- I moved to Georgia though now, so now I'm a Georgia girl.
- You moved to Georgia when you got married?
- Yes.
- Okay, so you were coming up here, you've been up here at this church before, right?
- This, you haven't been here?
- Never been here.
- I was thinking maybe you came to the church and then on the way back to Dawson, you stopped by Gresham on the way, but that's not how it happened, right?
- No, we had a mutual friend that introduced us, so.
- Okay, well it is your story, you stick to it.
