New numbers show just how much money the candidates and their allies spent.
The group at Impact Politics says candidates and political action committees PACs spent about $77 million on the Kentucky governor's race.
That's up 220% from 2019, when spending totaled then about 24 million.
Spending for the Democratic incumbent and victor, Governor Andy Beshear was about 49 million.
Spending for Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron was about 29 million.
