A national moratorium on evicting tenants from certain properties expired.
Back in March a national moratorium on evicting tenants from certain properties was included as part of a federal coronavirus relief package. Under the order, tenants in properties backed by federal mortgage loans and housing programs, were able to stay in their homes even if they were unable to pay the rent. The moratorium, however, expired on July 25.
