Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipforeign [Music] so the title of my film just basically it's another word for fatherhood um I wanted to keep the title as simple as possible something that's easily identifiable for everyone I've seen films about fatherhood before but I never seen it told from the Haitian perspective and I know that the relationships between uh Father and Son and the Haitian Community is very complex and not often talked about things and so I wanted to use that as an opportunity to show something that I don't think anyone's ever seen before I would love to direct a superhero movie with a black lead I think that'll be really awesome so most of the people that were a part of my crew were from my film School classmates uh my actors these are guys that I've worked with on products before and they're also really good friends of mine and it was just a nice culmination of different talents and skills it's sicario directed by Denise villanov I'll definitely say the pacing from what I envisioned originally definitely changed when I got to the end I gotta I gotta go with Denzel Denzel Washington I mean that to me there's just no comparison I would have spent the extra money to teach him Creole so he'd come in and you know make it happen but Denzel Washington for sure make movies with your friends I I've heard a long time ago which I stuck by this uh since then which is to network laterally and not vertically Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle this project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts on the web at arts.gov and by oolite Arts what Miami is made of
