But it was a really great example of of something that is relatable for everyone.
So it can be this simple thing, or it can be this whole like device to tell story, which is what I love about our art.
So we're doing a lot of really revitalizing that and like re gifting that back to our community.
It's it's beadwork.
But it's it's so much more than beadwork.
It's really about that ability to give love and to care for each other.
Blankets for us are really important gift because they're kind of like the pinnacle gift you give.
And so that's really what I put into this blanket, is we have the wild rice fox, which is a big part of how we're reseeding our wild rice beds and getting out there and learning how to do a bunch of stuff that we don't know how to do.
I also have these little swirly parts that are on.
There are fiddleheads, which are a traditional food, but also ferns are really important part of our ceremonial life.
And then the little dots on there are the muskrats paws, and there's a whole really amazing, beautiful story there.
And then at the center is a dogwood flower, which is one of the plants we use to make traditional tobacco for prayer.
At the center of all your work should be like your thoughtfulness or intention or however you harvest you.
Think about that.
