Belinda is a veteran nurse and typical Filipina "auntie." She left the Philippines to work as a nurse through the AIDS epidemic, the first Gulf War in Iraq, and eventually at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, the center of New York's COVID outbreak. Despite living through enormous tragedy, somehow she remains upbeat, finding freedom through dance and friendship.
