We are offering free family Friday nights at the movies.
Tonight's movie is Ghostbusters.
So the YMCA is the sponsor for the Summer Movie Series.
And the YMCA has an inflatable screen, so we had to learn how to set that thing up.
We had to borrow from the True North AmeriCorps, their projector and of course the Parks and Recs Department, making sure that our grass is nicely cut.
So it's really a group effort.
I think with COVID-19 in the last year, people are just starved for community and an opportunity to see friends and to reach out.
And this just gives people an opportunity to get out and enjoy the nighttime in a healthy, productive way.
We're just hoping families of all ages can come out here and enjoy it and get to know their neighbors again.
