An abandoned town named Rugby inside the Big South Fork National Recreation Area, founded by Englishman Andrew Jackson Downing as a 19th-century utopian community, includes fine examples of Carpenter Gothic. The Zeigler House in Frankfort is the only house in the state designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. And Wright protegé Fay Jones created a stunning new chapel for Lindsey Wilson College.
