"Looking Up" was a pilot project sponsored by the Duluth Public Arts Commission.
This idea that we're coming out of COVID and we are kind of tired of having everything be so serious and so depressing all the time.
We wanted to create something that was really kind of accessible all the way from like kids who love seeing, you know, the astronaut flying around to maybe adults that might just appreciate something different and new in West Duluth.
So tune in to 91.7 FM while you're there.
I just put out a public call on my Facebook page asking for musicians who recorded music from the area during COVID.
And I thought it was a good moment to help get some exposure to my friends in the music community that really need it right now.
There's lots of built up pressure right now from artists that haven't been able to share their work.
And I thought, wow, what a cool opportunity in this moment as we transition out of COVID, do something that would catch people's attention and get them excited about the future and what's coming - [Announcer] The Slice from WDSE WRPT.
