Their top priority?
Lowering prescription drug costs.
Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman also joined the rally to lend support and encouragement to those fighting for more affordable health care.
We know how vital our Kentucky seniors are to our economy and to our communities.
And we know that they and every Kentuckian deserves accessible, affordable and equitable health care.
Health care is not a partizan issue.
It's not red or blue.
It is a Kentucky issue.
It is a family issue because we cannot have a healthy economy or a healthy workforce without healthy Kentuckians.
It's just the right thing.
Do.
The seniors of today were our leaders of yesterday, and it's our responsibility to take care of their needs of tomorrow.
AARP is not about that red letter that you get when you're 48 years old wanting you to join.
We are all committed to making the quality of life better for seniors across Kentucky.
We are doing everything in our power to ensure that Kentuckians with preexisting conditions don't lose their coverage, that Kentuckians who have health care needs have lower prescription drug costs.
Today, there's more seniors in their war yesterday and there's more need.
We're going to be there for them.
AARP is strong in Kentucky.
We're going to get stronger.
AARP, Kentucky says it's advocating for various issues this legislative session, including financial relief for family caregivers and affordable utilities.
