You throw in the fact that Janey waited until the last minute to sign this proposal to change the way the city shapes its budget, in a way that will empower the council at the expense of the mayor, and I think people were just frustrated and wanted to remind her you're the acting mayor.
You haven't been elected mayor by the city as a whole.
We're still one of us.
We made you acting mayor, essentially.
And we wanna be able to work with you, as opposed to having you ignore us.
