Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship>> ADIA: HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED TO THINK ABOUT SOMETHING YOU CAN DO AND REALIZED THAT YOU MAYBE HAVE, LIKE, SUPER POWERS?
I RECENTLY REALIZED THAT I HAVE A SUPER POWER.
I HAVE A BUILT-IN CALENDAR.
COOL, RIGHT?
FOR EXAMPLE: I KNOW THAT IT’S TIME FOR APPLE-PICKING AND CHUNKY SWEATERS AND HOT CIDER BY THE SUDDEN ONSET OF WHAT SOME PEOPLE CALL THE "SEASONAL SPINS."
RANDOM DIZZY SPELL THAT’S NOT CAUSED BY TOO MUCH CAFFEINE OR NOT ENOUGH FOOD?
HEY, IT’S OCTOBER!
AND MORE SPECIFICALLY, LATE OCTOBER.
EH?
ARE MY EYES BURNING AND WATERING EVEN THOUGH THINGS ARE BARELY GREENING UP OUTSIDE?
MUST BE LATE MARCH, SLASH, EARLY APRIL!
DO I WANT TO TEMPORARILY REMOVE THE BACK OF MY THROAT SO THAT I DON’T HAVE TO TOLERATE THAT INTOLERABLE ITCH THAT ACCOMPANIES THIS TIME OF YEAR?
HEY, IT’S MID TO LATE AUGUST!
OOH, CHERRIES!
THE STATE FAIR!
AT THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE, WHEN THEY ASK, "ANY ALLERGIES?"
AND I SAY, "JUST SEASONAL," I WANT TO BRAG ABOUT MY ABILITIES, BUT I KNOW I’D HAVE TO QUALIFY THEM WITH A STATEMENT LIKE, "I KNOW I WON’T BE JOINING THE AVENGERS ANY TIME SOON BECAUSE IT’S ONLY A SUPER POWER IF WE SUDDENLY, COLLECTIVELY, LOSE THE ABILITY TO TELL TIME AND EVERYONE FORGETS WHAT MONTH IT IS, BUT ISN’T THAT A NEAT LITTLE TRICK?"
SO!
IF THE INTERNET GOES DOWN FOREVER AND WE ALL GET AMNESIA, JUST KNOW THAT I’VE GOT YOU COVERED FOR AT LEAST
