Jessica, can you tell u.. Oh, this is a wonderful state park.
We have 530 acres here at Lake Sammamish State Park.
We have two public beaches that are open to everyone.
We're here also giving a little sneak peek of our Sunset Beach Cafe that will open this summer.
And they have hot dogs and ice cream and all sorts of fun, food items for people who are exploring.
One of the first things you see when you enter the Lake Sammamish State Park is the awesome playground.
The friends group formed in 2013, and this is one of the first projects that they undertook here at the park.
They wanted to make an all accessible playground for kids of all abilities, to be able to play here at this 530 acre.
Tell me about this beautiful beach.
This is Sunset Beach.
It's one of our two public beaches here.
We get about 2 million visitors and it's accessible to everyone.
Okay.
What on earth ..
This is a track chair, and it makes our beach accessible.. And it's provided by our partners.
Outdoors for All here at Lake Sammamish State Park.
And if you're not interested in our beautiful beach, we also have cycling that you can take on our wonderful trails.
Can you tell me about some of the trails here?
We have several miles of trails here at Lake Sammamish State Park.
This is just one of them, and it leads us out to the mouth of Issaquah Creek.
Wow.
Alright Jessica, we walked the entirety of the trail and made it to our very own private island.
Yeah, you can walk, you can bike.
You can take your own little picnic out here to the mouth of Issaquah Creek.
And if you get tired of looking at the water, you ..
Along with kayaks and pedal boats, you can also rent stand up paddle boards here at the park.
My advice, when you see the sign for Lake Sammamish State Park, driving through Issaquah, take the exit.
I'm Angela.
Thanks for exploring.
I'll see you.
