NJ organizations prepare for influx of Afghan refugees

The grassroots community organization Welcome Home Jersey City has been working around-the-clock to get an apartment ready for Afghans fleeing the country amid the Taliban takeover. Volunteers says they don’t know how many refugees to expect or when to expect them, but are ready for the call from the International Rescue Committee, which helps to coordinate resettlements.
