Virginia has resettled over 5,000 Afghan refugees since the Taliban takeover. We talk with resettlement agencies and newly arrived Afghans about the massive resettlement effort and the mental toll of leaving your country. While the Afghans we spoke with feel fortunate for their safety, they mourn the loss of Afghanistan and those left behind.
