A woman is suing Chicago and police officers after murder charges were dropped.
A mother who was accused of ordering her son to kill a man inside a West Pullman restaurant is suing the city of Chicago and the police officers who arrested her, a day after prosecutors dropped murder charges against her.

THE MURDER CHARGES WERE DROPPED AGAINST HER AND HER SON AFTER ATTORNEYS CLAIMED THAT THIS WAS AN OBVIOUS RUSH TO JUDGMENT.

>> HOOD WENT THERE TO GET FOOD WITH HER SON WHEN SHE GOT INTO AN ARGUMENT WITH JEREMY BROWN.
COOK COUNTY PROSECUTORS ARE SEEING SOME OF THAT FOOTAGE NOW.
WHEN THAT HAPPENED, THE 14-YEAR-OLD SHOT BROWN AND TRIED TO FLEE FROM THE RESTAURANT.
BROWN DIED OF HIS INJURIES AND THEY TURN THEMSELVES INTO POLICE AND WERE ARRESTED LAST WEEK.
>> THE VIDEO DOES SHOW THE VICTIM PUNCHING HOOD, SEVERAL TIMES.
HERE'S THE ATTORNEY, SPEAKING TODAY AFTER FILING AGAINST THE CITY.

>> WHAT DOES THE LAWSUIT CLAIM?
>> ALLEGATIONS OF FALSE ARREST .
HOOD'S ATTORNEYS ARGUE THAT SHE IS ACTUALLY THE VICTIM IN ALL OF THIS.
MANY OF THE CLIPS HAVE GONE VIRAL HAVE SHOWN THAT SHE WAS PUNCHED IN THE HEAD.
AFTER THAT HAPPENS, POLICE OFFICERS HAVE REVIEWED THIS FOOTAGE .
>> THIS CAME AFTER THE STATES ATTORNEY ANNOUNCED DROPPING THE MURDER CHARGES.
WILL THEY FILE ADDITIONAL LAWSUITS?
>> YES THEY DO EXPECT TO FILE ADDITIONAL LAWSUITS , SAYING THAT THEY DID DROP THESE CHARGES BUT ARE ARGUING THAT THIS WAS A MALICIOUS
