- I am from Pell City.

I've lived here all of my life.

- What high school?

- Pell City High School.

- Class of '93.

- 30 years.

You went back to the class reunion, yet?

- It's tonight.

- Wow!

(chuckles) - Wow!

What is school colors?

- Black and gold.

And what's the mascot?

- A panther.

(George growls) Pell City Panthers, yes.

(George and Pastor Keller laugh) - Great, so what's the name of your church?

- My church is Greater New Destiny Christian Church, right here in Pell City off of Highway 231.

- And everybody's welcome to come, right?

- Everybody is welcome to come.

We're a five-fold ministry, a multicultural church, and we love everyone.

- Love everybody, okay?

Do y'all ever feed dinner over there?

Anything like that?

- Oh, yes we do.

- Okay, now- - We are a eating church.

Only homemade cakes allowed.

- Oh my goodness, see?

There you go.

Your membership just increased right there.

I heard somebody say, "Whoa!"

(Pastor Keller laughs) I heard them, did you hear?

- I heard them.

- All right, there.

Well, I tell you what, how long has the church been founded?

- Our church has been founded for 12.5 years.

So we are very, very blessed and thankful.

- Okay, do you help the community out?

- We do help the community.

Our last task with our outreach ministry, we did a school supply drive just about a mile away from here, at the old Duran South school.

And we blessed about 200 families with school supplies.

- That is excellent.

- Yes.

That is excellent.

Well, it's obvious that you got a lot of energy about the whole thing.

- Yes.

- About what you're doing.

And I can tell with your big smile, that you enjoy doing it.

And we wanna encourage you to continue.

- Yes.

- To do what you're doing.

And all the people of Pell City surround areas, surrounding areas, if you haven't been over to see Pastor Keller, you need to get over there this Sunday, this Saturday, Wednesday.

Just stay until the door's open, okay?

That's what you do.

And we're there every Sunday at 10:30 AM, every Wednesday at 6:00 PM for service.

7:00 PM, we work out with a trainer.

- With a trainer?

- Yes.

- What kind of things y'all be doing?

- We do about 45 minutes to an hour of straight hard exercise.

- Kinda like what now?

- The last week, we did a lot of knee lifts, weight lift.

You've seen this gentleman before.

We're mighty glad to have him with us in this outdoor open space, under the heavens, with the sun shining through.

Look like the sun came out soon as you stepped up, sir.

- I brought some of 'em.

- Ah, I don't know.

They better wrote one.

(George and Pastor Alan Kendrick laugh) - Listen, let's say before we get started, you are celebrating something?

- I am.

- And it's been 38 years.

So, tell us a little bit about it.

- Well, actually it's been 40.

- 40?

Okay.

- Today, 40 years ago, my wife and I began pastoring.

At that time, it was a church called Shades Valley.

But today, it's called Oasis of Praise.

And she and I celebrate our 40th anniversary today as the lead pastors of that wonderful church.

God's been good to us, brother George.

- Congratulations.

Now, Oasis of Praise is growing by leaps and bounds.

And as we look out on Lovestock 2023, you could see some brown faces, some dark brown faces, some lighter color faces.

- Amen.

- I wanna make sure I got that right.

I ain't wanna say that wrong.

- Yeah, yeah.

- Okay.

- Amen.

- Don't start, up on this hill.

- Don't do nothing.

- I can't run through that water.

- No.

Amen.

- But that same thing is happening at Oasis of Praise.

- Oh, yes, yes.

- Tell us a little bit about that.

- Well, it goes a long way back.

Goes back actually to 1976 at an Alabama count meeting, when I was given a prophecy that in my last days, I would minister to God's Black people.

- Ain't there Black people out here?

(people faintly cheering) - And it wouldn't be a few.

And Brother George was with me a couple of weeks ago when that prophetic word was fulfilled at Pastor or Apostle Anthony Greer, at his conference.

I preached there and I don't have time to share the whole story.

But two of the people, a brother and sister, Ricky Witherspoon, his sister Hiawatha, they were the two people that in high school, transitioned me from being a racist to loving Black people.

That was before I got saved.

In '76, I got saved, but I'd already been transformed by the power of God, through Ricky Witherspoon.

And when I got to the conference that night, I did not know that Ricky Witherspoon was singing at the conference, and his sister Hiawatha was helping coordinate it.

So, there I was, and I was about a quarter of a mile from the place where God gave me the prophecy.

It was 47 years ago that God gave me that prophetic word that was fulfilled two weeks ago.

Lovestock is today.

This is a continuation of what God told me 47 years ago, is happening at Oasis.

God is bringing His people together.

Amen.

We are His people.
