Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipAlaska at work is a project funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting through an American graduate getting to work grant whereby we highlight the work being done in the community to get Alaskans into rewarding careers so far we have produced 30-some videos and on top of that we have had a number of our public affairs programs both on radio and television highlighting the issues around workforce development as well as organizations who are working in this space the content that we've created out on social media and on television has gotten in total millions of views so we wanted to both make aware and then also change the perception in the community of those kinds of programs so that folks who might be struggling it could be put into a track that is rewarding for them that they enjoyed that they can make good money at and that the community actually needs and is looking for and now twice we have had breakfast for champions of Workforce Development and education the idea was to kind of hone in on some of what the community was thinking needed to be addressed different ideas that they wanted highlighted and just to bring them together to have connections couple of things that we really want to continue to do in the future are create content highlighting organizations that are doing good work in this space and the other is to continue to connect organizations who are doing this work and we will try and provide them with help in spreading that message both on our channels and in theirs Alaska at work is part of American graduate getting to work made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
