Place des Victoires.
Every morning I get to see Louis XIV's arse.
Such a beautiful spot.
Working here is a joy.
It changes everything, even creatively.
We've really expanded, really grown.
And we found this.
Amazing.
♪♪ The house was founded in 2010.
It wasn't really a house.
I was on my own in my apartment when I really began to design the first collection.
A few backers invested a bit of money to get us started, and then we showed the first collection in January 2011.
[ Speaking French ] Interpreter: We held the show in a bar just over there -- 14 or 15 looks, friends, parents, the press office, and a few journalists.
But there were just 20 or 30 of us in the room, and our story began.
It took off right away from the very first season.
That was 13 years ago.
And it was extraordinary because it was pretty simple.
The start was a menswear collection.
My idea has always been for everything to be very realistic, for the clothes I wear -- that we all wear -- are easy to wear, comfortable, beautiful, quite simple.
That's how it all began.
Right.
Start of the collection.
Start of the season.
We get going straight after the vacation.
It's kind of fabulous.
You come back.
You have to design a collection.
It's the best job in the world.
It really is.
So here goes.
The inspiration for each show -- I don't know if I have these light-bulb moments.
Each collection is like a continuation of the previous one.
There's been this common thread since the start.
And when I design this one, I kind of already know where I'll go with the next one.
I always have a contextual link to what I am, to what I am at that specific moment, to my emotions.
How do I feel at that moment?
Am I in love?
Am I not in love?
All of these things really matter.
They inspire me, feed my inspiration, stimulate my creativity, my creative process.
We're going to start with the women's collection.
I'd like my board with the sketches.
Ah.
There was that too.
We said maybe.
If we say our dark color is brown, if we have a few shades of brown and a khaki, these could be our fairly dark things.
And I love this too.

The accessories, obviously.
Right.
I love this.
So we'll keep this idea.

The second story -- They have to go together.
Everything we said about these kind of flesh tones.

Interpreter: But it's good.
I really like the idea.
Because it isn't the same looks, the same volumes, the same textures.
Besides, having a coherent palette like this, I think it emphasizes our story.
It works as well with accessories, handbags, shoes.
That's that.
Then we had a blue, but I don't know if this is it.
It isn't that one either.
This one?
Yeah.
And then we'll have grays.
I think it'd be beautiful to have light grays.
That?
No.
We've got these.
I don't want this or that or that or that.
Are these pretty beiges -- This works quite well for a beige.
Not that or that or that.
Are we going to want to use things like this again?
I don't think so.

Let's try the red that I love.
My red.
It's mouth red.
I don't use lipstick.
I use leather.
It's much simpler.

Interpreter: Why bother with lipstick?
You have to remove it afterwards.
Interpreter: Whereas that... Interpreter: Hang on.
There's something else that could work -- oranges.
No.
But now I'm redoing things I don't want to do.
For winter, we need to have volume, flexibility, lightness, layering.
The T-shirt has to be worn with the shirt, with the sweater.
At any rate, at the outset, we absolutely have to think like that.
These sketches were done just before the vacation.

If we did a puffer jacket in, say, flannel or in nylon, same thing -- big, wide.

This thing that I love too, which was very, very fluid.

A bit like what we did this summer -- the second look or the third look.

Interpreter: Really supple.
Hands in the pockets, long, a small, very thin belt at the back.
This is a coat, a big thing with big snap fasteners or big buttons, big, contrasting cuffs if we use a two-ply fabric.
Long, supple, unlined, wide, and you have a really pretty finish.
Maybe here we could have a very pretty ribbon, a grosgrain ribbon, a pretty buttonhole, small snap fasteners.
Everything has to be exquisite in this simplicity, because for me, this is a great silhouette.
Round glasses, a big knit cap, trousers similar to the ones I'm wearing today -- very baggy.
It could be in the same fabric as the jacket.
I like that idea.
But you see, even in the -- And this is a good base volumewise.
If this is a base number one, we do one like this, one with a big hood, and we put the drawcord here.
See?
We'll work on a T-shaped thing, too, just like in my sketch.
We can have an applique patch here in poplin or even a little washed satin.
Then there's one that could be like this -- a bit button-up...like this... ...with a pretty military-style collar.
And this too, we can do a short version, a long version, a three-quarter-length, too.
We take a sketch, and we do eight toile with the atelier opposite.
This, for me, is a silhouette that's very us.
And same for the women's.
We put them in the same look, only they'll have a handbag, big earrings, maybe heels.
